We're looking for someone to join Program Insights and Innovations team under Workplace
Health and Safety who is a instructional designer with a passion for clarity and helping people
learn. Ideally, you have experience designing and building online trainings and writing materials
that support Fulfillment Center safety trainings or content for e-learning solutions.
Our team develops and maintains the media content for training programs under Workplace
Health & Safety at Amazon.com. We have technical expertise to help us build interactive, online
solutions for on-the-job training, but we need your thoughtful communication and people-skills.
Plan and write content for training programs using instructional and distribution methods
(online, classroom or blended) that best suit the content.
Create engaging and valid trainee evaluation tools that prove successful knowledge
transfer.
Build processes and templates to minimize the development time for new training
materials, and to help others participate in our development cycle.
Help maintain existing programs to ensure the content remains complete and relevant
The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-tasked, high energy environment.
They will be a creative and analytical problem solver with a passion for helping people learn and
for finding simple ways to convey complex ideas.
You have some or all of the following: experience using e-learning software, such as Captivate or
StoryLine, knowledge and application of instructional theories, adult learning, on the job learning,
knowledge management theories, and principles in both on-line and classroom instruction. You
have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently.
Basic Qualifications
─ 4+ years of relevant experience in instructional design, courseware development, or directly
related field.
─ Working knowledge of adult learning theories and instructional design best practices
─ Proficient with a variety of eLearning development tools including Articulate Storyline, and
Adobe Captivate.
Preferred Qualifications
─ Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
