One Division or Clan must be led by a Lord character. All the other clans in the army must be led by
any of the other available characters. Each clan must contain at least 4 units. Note that Monsters
beasts, spirits and artillery do not count towards this total. 1 in every 2 clans can be joined by an
unattached commander (see page **)

Samurai infantry and cavalry units, warrior monks and Ninja would rather die than run from
battle, when required to take a break test from either shooting or combat they add 1 to the total
rolled.
Enemy units/models rolling a morale save to save against hits from troops armed with Naginata
and No datchi do so with a -1 to their save. E.g troops with a 4+ morale save, will save on 5+.
Ninja units do not set up in the normal manner, they set up when both armies have deployed and
can set up anywhere on their side of the table. Any enemy commander involved in a combat with
a unit of Ninja run a greater risk of becoming a casualty add +2 to the dice roll when rolling to hit a
commander.
Artillery has a moral of 4 as the fact they are heavily protected by wooden Mantlets
