Introduction:

Bank islami is a second full fledge Islamic commercial bank of Pakistan. It is first

bank to receive the Islamic banking policy. It focuses primary on wealth

management and removing RIBA from society.

History:

The idea of bank islami was conceptualized by Jahangir Siddique and limited

company and Randeree family in 2003. Business application to state bank of

Pakistan was submitted in 2004. In 2005 Dubai bank joined and sponsored and

become one of the founding shareholders of Bank Islami by investing 18.75% in

total capital.

Branches:

Head office of Bank Islami is situated in Karachi. There is total 340+ branches in

123 cities in Pakistan. There is total 5 branches in Peshawar.

meritocracy and on young generation. those people are selected who has bachelor’s

degree and minimum experience.

sectors net banking mobile banking and call centers.

 provide new accounts.

 To open 15 accounts within a month.

Changes in External Environment:

 Because of coronavirus communication decreases while deposit remains the

same.

 Taliban attack on Afghanistan creates so much uncertainty as we share our

territory with them.

 Decreases the FDI, shrink economy and dollar rise to 176.15.


SWOT analysis:

Strength:

 It has an advantage of doing less marketing is compared to conventional

banking because of better cost control.

 As a bank mode on name bank islami in Pakistan so it has an advantage of

religious position.

 Attract new customer and retain potential customer by beginning innovation

to product and services.

Weakness:

 To compete with conventional bank a lot of capital is required, and a large

number of resources help to maintain to meet any loss situation.

 Staff of the bank is less experienced and young.

 Lack of specialization that is employees are routed from one to another job

after totally different characteristics.

Opportunities:

 Due to Islamic banking new market have merged like Islamic insurance and

investment projects.

 eCommerce and marketing development.


Threats:

 Increased competition in both domestic and foreign market.

 Good job opportunities offer outside attract current employees.

 Other organizations are using better HR techniques.
