MAN AC Fault Codes DTC

Code / Description

3000

Outside temperature sensor

The fault state:

FMI 5, a short to ground

FMI 12, a break or short circuit to + UBat

Cause: faulty external temperature sensor, wiring harness malfunction.

Remedy: Use a PC, check the accuracy of the signal, check external temperature sensor,
check the wiring, check the connectors.

Control Steps:

With the help of a PC, check the accuracy of the "Outside temperature sensor" signal.

Resistance Measurements:

Outside temperature sensor; control unit heater / air conditioner (A250) - between Pin A4 (+)
and Pin A9 (-): ~ 10 ohms at 25 ° C

Evaporator temperature sensor

The fault state:

wiring, check the plug-in connections, check fan controller, check the fan motor, check fuses
F131.

Compressor

The fault state:

FMI 5, a short to ground

FMI 10, the gap

Cause: high or low pressure in the cooling circuit, the faulty high / low pressure switch
(B203), a faulty compressor clutch (Y114), the fault harness.

Remedy: Test the actuator, check the wiring, check the connectors, check the compressor
clutch (Y114), measure the voltage.

Voltage measurement:

Solenoid valve

The fault state:

FMI 5, a short to ground

FMI 10, the gap

Cause: faulty solenoid valve of the front air conditioner (Y117), fault (fail) harness.

Remedy: Test the actuator, check the wiring, check the connectors, check the solenoid valve
of the front air conditioner (Y117), measure the voltage.

testing stages:

Testing of actuators:

With PC perform testing actuators "solenoid valve".

Voltage measurement:

The solenoid valve of the front air conditioning; control unit heater / air conditioner (A250) -
between Pin A23 (+) and Pin A25 (-): 0 V - the solenoid valve is closed; 16-32 (UBat) -
solenoid valve is opened.

Cl. 30, the voltage

The fault state:

FMI 1 is too high

FMI 2, too low

Cause: power supply terminals 30 heater / air conditioner control unit (A250) is too high or
too low, fuse F397, the fault harness.

Remedy: Use a PC, check the accuracy of the signal, check the wiring, check the connectors,
check the fuse F397, measure the voltage.
