MYSTICAL CHRISTMAS MEMORIES

Intro (VO):
December welcomes that special time of year for families and loved ones to enjoy and
make wonderful memories during the holidays, wherever you are at on the map. But
what if I told you that you can do all of this and so much more in a lovely Christmas
town, just two and a half hours north, away from New York City?
That’s right, and this small town is called Mystic – home to Connecticut’s most sought-
after seaport escapes, and during the holidays, Mystic transforms into a Christmas town
for everyone to enjoy!
From lighted town greens to festive parades and train rides, this constitution state is
home to some of the best places to enjoy the true spirit of the holidays.
History of Mystic:
Mystic is a village in Groton and Stonington, Connecticut is located dead center
between New York City and Boston, Massachusetts. Historically, Mystic was a
significant Connecticut seaport with more than 600 ships built over 135 years, starting
in 1784.
Mystic has preserved its rich history; the Mystic Bascule Bridge, the hustle and bustle of
Downtown Mystic, the quaint village found at the Mystic Seaport, Olde Mystic Village,
and downtown Mystic with its shops and foodie haven to making Mystic so special for
visitors and residents alike.
