V. CONCLUSION
The primary responsibility of the investigator is to determine whether a crime has been committed. Using
imagination, the investigator will reconstruct the crime scene based on the evidence found; with the help of
theories, it will balance whether or not this comes from a realistic point of view. He/she shall take note of the
abovementioned evidence for report and records purposes. Then afterward, collect all the evidence found on the
scene, may it look necessary or not, in a careful, safest, and delicate way. The procedures involving the collection of
pieces of evidence and information do not require speedy processing. Investigators must go slowly but with
efficient action to properly obtain all necessary and adequate pieces of evidence surrounding the crime scene. The
cordoned area of the crime scene shall be in place after all the necessary evidence has been analyzed and settled.
So, when unsatisfied, the investigator can return and search for other vital evidence that might be useful in
determining the perpetrator and proving his guilt.
Furthermore, in identifying trace evidence, it must be considered that the material found is a pattern that
shows the position of a person at the crime scene and vividly illustrates the location of specific instances. This is
vital for a successful investigation and in reconstructing the scene. Taking everything into account, this kind of
activity furnishes significant learning to students on how to appropriately collect pieces of evidence obtained from
the crime scene as well as the proper procedure to be taken. Hence, it may serve as their foundation and training
ground in dealing with the investigation that they will soon pursue in the future when they become one of the
investigators that gives aid and contribution for the resolution of particular cases thus molding them to become a
better, knowledgeable and efficient law enforcers.
