CIBESA ANNUAL GALA CABINET ROLES

NOTE:

 Each cabinet member has been assigned a sport to oversee.


 Since some cabinet members are participants in some games, a minimum of two members
shall be assigned to each game.
 Cabinet members shall be given the fixtures and tally sheets of each of the games and shall
be required to submit the tally of their sport to the sports secretary for final tallies.
 Cabinet members should ensure all necessary equipment for their assigned sports are
available.
 Work is not limited to the roles assigned and cabinet members are requested to take on
responsibilities whenever called upon.
 ASSEMBLY TIME AT PITCH FOR PREPARATIONS IS 8:00 AM.

SPORTS AND THE MARK ALLOCATIONS.


A total of 8 competitive and 3 non-competitive sports are to be played.

Note:
The non-competitive sports shall attract bonus points as further highlighted in this notice.

Football marks allocation.


Football shall comprise of a league between the five participating teams. The top two teams shall
qualify for the final to decide between the first and second place. The remaining positions shall be
awarded according to the table.

Football shall be awarded a maximum of 25 marks and they shall be awarded as follows;

 The first shall be awarded 25 marks.


 The second shall be awarded 20 marks.
 The third shall be awarded 15 marks.
 The forth shall be awarded 10 marks.
 The fifth shall be awarded 5 marks.

Chess marks allocation


Due to limitations in equipment we shall have a participant per team. The time taken per match shall
be 15 minutes and in case a check mate has not been reached in that time, the winner will be
decided depending on the pieces taken out and their worth.

Chess shall be played as league with each winner of the game accumulating 3 points, a draw 1 point
and a loss 0. The player with most points shall be regarded the winner and other positions shall
follow those of the table. This has been done due to the uneven number of teams making splitting
into groups difficult.

Chess shall carry a maximum of 15 marks and they shall be awarded as follows;

 The first shall be awarded 15 marks.


 The second shall be awarded 12 marks.
 The third shall be awarded 9 marks.
 The forth shall be awarded 6 marks.
 The fifth shall be awarded 3 marks.

FIFA tournament marks allocation.


A FIFA tournament shall be played in a league format. Only one participant shall be required from
each team due to constraints in procuring the second set of PS4. The winner of each match shall be
awarded 3 points, the loser 0 and incase of a draw each shall be awarded 1 point.

Note:
The player with most points shall be regarded the winner and other positions shall follow those of
the table. This has been done due to the uneven number of teams making splitting into groups
difficult.

 The first shall be awarded 15 marks.


 The second shall be awarded 12 marks.
 The third shall be awarded 9 marks.
 The forth shall be awarded 6 marks.
 The fifth shall be awarded 3 marks.
ATHLETICS.

Athletics shall comprise the 100m and 200m race. The rules shall be as those followed by the IOC
and therefore no lane changes shall be permitted during the race. Any participant that shall break
this rule or start before they are told to do so shall be disqualified.

100m shall carry a maximum of 10 marks and they shall be awarded as follows;

 The first shall be awarded 10 marks.


 The second shall be awarded 8 marks.
 The third shall be awarded 6 marks.
 The forth shall be awarded 4 marks.
 The fifth shall be awarded 2 marks.

200m shall carry a maximum of 10 marks and they shall be awarded as follows;

 The first shall be awarded 10 marks.


 The second shall be awarded 8 marks.
 The third shall be awarded 6 marks.
 The forth shall be awarded 4 marks.
 The fifth shall be awarded 2 marks.

EGG RACE

The egg race shall occur over a distance half that of the 100m race. Any participant who uses more
than one hand to balance the egg on the spoon shall be disqualified. The participants shall be
required to balance an egg on a spoon/fork and walk or run through a specific distance.

Egg race shall carry a maximum of 5 marks and they shall be awarded as follows;

 The first shall be awarded 5 marks.


 The second shall be awarded 4 marks.
 The third shall be awarded 3 marks.
 The forth shall be awarded 2 marks.
 The fifth shall be awarded 1 mark.

Note;
The egg race shall therefore carry a maximum of 10 marks as the marks from the female race shall
be added to those in the male category i.e. the marks shall be awarded for each category and then
totaled to obtain the final mark.

SACK RACE
The sack race shall occur over a distance half that of the 100m race. Any participant who makes a
hole in his/her sack shall be disqualified. The participants shall be required race (run/hop/walk)
through a specific distance.

Egg race shall carry a maximum of 5 marks and they shall be awarded as follows;

 The first shall be awarded 5 marks.


 The second shall be awarded 4 marks.
 The third shall be awarded 3 marks.
 The forth shall be awarded 2 marks.
 The fifth shall be awarded 1 mark.

Note;
The sack race shall therefore carry a maximum of 10 marks as the marks from the female race shall
be added to those in the male category i.e. the marks shall be awarded for each category and then
totaled to obtain the final mark.

TAG OF WAR

shall be played as league with each winner of the game accumulating 3 points, a draw 1 point and a
loss 0. A final shall be played between the top two to determine the 1 st and 2nd positions, the other
positions shall follow the table. This has been done due to the uneven number of teams making
splitting into groups difficult.

Tag of war shall carry a maximum of 15 marks and they shall be awarded as follows;

 The first shall be awarded 15 marks.


 The second shall be awarded 12 marks.
 The third shall be awarded 9 marks.
 The forth shall be awarded 6 marks.
 The fifth shall be awarded 3 marks.

Other games (fun games)


The following are the bonus games that shall be played during the sports gala and bonus points shall
be awarded to the overall winner of these fun games.

The bonus points shall be awarded as follows;

 5 marks to the winner.


 4 marks to the second
 3 marks to the third
 2 marks to the forth
 1 mark to the fifth.

These points shall not be given to each of the games but rather positions shall be obtained by
awarding marks for each game and totaling them to get the positions in fun games and thus
awarding the bonus points as shown above.

The fun games shall constitute the following;

Musical chairs

This is a common game and the rules shall be self-explanatory. We shall however take note of the
positions from 5th to 1st of each participant. The DJ and assigned cabinet member shall be the
referees.

Three leg race

In this game, a male and female participant shall be required for each team. One of their legs shall
be tied together and they shall be required to race against other teams through a required distance.

The positions of the different teams shall be recorded by the assigned referee or cabinet member.

NB:
The overall winner shall be awarded with a GOAT (not MESSI!! but a real goat, one that says meeee)
however other prizes are up for grabs for the best players in different games.
Fixtures shall be announced by 5pm tomorrow.
