 Week 01: Journal 01- Working Days- (July 05, to July 08, 2021)

I was selected as an intern for Agrani Bank Limited by dropping the CV at the head office of
Agrani Bank Limited and being selected for the internship program of this bank. July 5, 2021
was the first day of my life as an intern in Agrani Bank Limited. I joined in the general
banking department as an intern.

Since, It was the first week. In this week, I went through understanding the work and the
environment of the bank. On the very first day, I have been introduced to the office staff and
to my supervisor by the head of the general banking department. I was a little bit of nervous
about the upcoming uncertainties related to my workplace but my supervisor helped me to
understand my work. He mainly deals with Proactively identify the needs of potential
customers and offer appropriate financial services and products, such as bank account
opening, mortgage loan and personal loan, as well as make referrals of insurance and
investment businesses. 

Being the first week of my internship the area of learning was very large. This is the first time
I faced the Banking world, which I have been listening throughout my university life. I
started to learn the culture of an organization. I started to understand how the work flows and
also how I should behave in the office. Every work, I doing was very new for me. I realized, I
must have a better understanding of using Microsoft work to do my activities in a better way.

As it was just my first week as an intern, so it was tough for me to adjust with the work, the
list of my first week achievement was not very big. I was just following my supervisor's
orders. What he told me to do I just did the same the word file he told me to make, I made
that and he was pleased to see my work. This was my first time experience in the working
world. Everyone was so busy to do their work as this is pandemic time because there were
some government restrictions about banking hours. The main notable incident for me was the
difference of the lifestyles of a university student and of an office-going employee.
