INSTRUCTIONS

SECTION 1:

- Use the PEEL technique for the two points that you chose.
- For your presentation, prepare the contents using the essay format without the conclusion.
- Use the signposts for Point 1 and Point 2.

1-minute break

- Your rebuttal/refutation MUST summarize your opponent’s point. (Listen and take notes
carefully)
- Use signposts for your TWO rebuttals.
- The closing is the summary of YOUR two points.

SECTION 2:

- Your narration needs to be interesting to appeal to the listener. Use the following format.

- Figurative language: simile, metaphor, imagery, hyperbole, etc.
