does that mean for me?

You don’t need to take any action different than that already expected for normal Authorization application, renewal, and
compliance maintenance. Most partners will not see any immediate changes other than in the name of the competencies they
hold. Any changes made to specific requirements will be communicated to partners holding that competency, with instructions for
needed action and generous time allowances for meeting any new criteria.

IoT Essentials Black Belt Evolution


Cisco continues to implement steps in an effort to arm partners with the enablement and programmatic support to drive
sustainable incremental opportunities in OT Networking Infrastructure and IoT Solutions.

Throughout 2019 we delivered the IoT Essentials training worldwide and enrolled over 170 partners in the program. In order
to make it easier and less costly for partners to add new resources and extend training to others in the organization, we
made the IoT Essentials content available on-demand through Blackbelt Sales Academy since April, 2020.
Partners have been leveraging this content since April, 2020 to become IoT Authorized, maintain and renew their IoT
Authorization and obtaining their IoT Essentials Sales and Technical certification using the learning maps and quizzes
embedded in them. As IoT keeps evolving, it is time for update of this material so that you have access to the latest
information.

Organization to complete IoT Essentials Sales and Effective January 1st , 2021 in order to become IoT

IoT Ignite is deal registration based incentive that empowers Cisco IoT Specialized Partners to
accelerate IoT Routing, IoT Switching, and IoT Wireless deals for Mid-Market and Enterprise
customer segments across all industries. Available until the end of FY21.
In FY21 we simplified the incentive by including only OIP/TIP in the deal registration process and
created second level, rewarding IoT Advantage Specialized partners for their investment. There
