ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Responsible for the implementation of Company’s Quality Management System,

Engineering Standards, Applicable Codes & Standards and Project Quality Procedures.

 Leading a team of Engineers to ensure effectively the implementation of the

project quality plan, scope of work, issued for construction drawing, standard
specification and Inspection Test plan with the corresponding client standards.

 Assign targets for accomplishments and ensure targets are met on daily basis for all
electrical groups at site.

 Plans the execution of all electrical related works and coordinates the works to
mechanical and civil groups.

 Give clients and customers training on the usage of panel boards, carrying out works
in customer’s premises in accordance with client’s quality standard.

 Supports the Asst. Project Manager in accomplishing all the goals and targets for the
electrical groups at site, ensures that all the site works are done according to all
applicable quality standards.

 Directly responsible for the safety of all electrical groups’ personnel of the project by
ensuring that the project execution will be done according to all applicable health,
safety, sanitary and environmental standards.

 Performs other related duties as may be required by the Asst. Project Manager,
Coordinate with Electrical Supervisors and Engineers to monitor and close punch list
items prior to energization.

 Ensure that all quality control document forms and reports are adequate and properly
documented and filed as per ISO 9001:2008 and schedule Q requirements

 Installation of Cable tray and conduit Installation as per the NEMA, NEC standards and
as per the manufacturer’s instruction
 Responsible for Insulation resistance (IR test) of cable before and after installation
and loop checking before termination as per the standards.
 Responsible for Instrument Calibrations such as PT, LT, TT, FT, TS, LS, PS, PG,
TG, RTD, Control valves and Thermocouples.

 Installation of the equipment’s such as motors, lighting panel’s, junction boxes,

power panels, instrument junction boxes, and instrument panels is done as per the
Approved IFC Drawings, standards and procedures.
 Installation of lightning and grounding is done as per the IFC Drawings.
 Responsible for all the E&I Activities as per the scope of work.

 Ensure all instruments, equipment and tools to be used are calibrated,

controlled and documented

 Installation of control panels, Junction boxes, Power Distribution Panels, Testing and
termination, of power and control cables.

 Fabrication and Installation of Cable trays/ladders for cable pulling and laying.

 Glanding and termination of multi core control cables, power cables, instrument
cables and FF cables.
 Installation of grounding cables & all types of cad weld.

 A routine surveillance and monitoring of site for Electrical and Instrumentation

Activities.

 Installation of stanchion, instruments tubing and leak test

 Preparing loop packages and pre commissioning activities.

 Update and control of project documents, redlining of documents.

 Check and confirm that all punch list items have been identified and closed out.

 Coordinate with procurement for the availability of materials so construction can be

completed to meet the pre-commissioning schedule.

 Prepare engineering and construction scope for both man-hours and equipment
estimates and assist in the review of proposed schedules

 Follow manpower needs/availability and safety standards/procedures.

 Cooperating closely with the Safety team to ensure that HSE standards are maintained
and that safety issues are monitored and addressed by the site supervision team

 Responsible for assisting the implementation of QA/QC inspection test plans (ITP),
check lists and test reports for various projects in aspect of installation, testing and
pre-commissioning and energization

 Ensure the implementation of works as per the Approved IFC drawings.

 Preparation of daily and weekly report

 Review plant drawings and scope of work in accordance with project

requirement, specification and standards.

 Responsible for the calibration of the instruments such as pressure gauge,

pressure transmitters, flow transmitters, level transmitters, level gauges.

 All installation shall be done as per the standards and procedures and IFC
drawings

 Maintain a good relationship with the client, production and Engineering

 Attending the pre-commissioning and test done by the vendors.

 Daily monitor to check the site activities and review the IFC drawings for the
latest revision and verify the production work with the latest rev. IFC drawings

 Follow up to close all the punch list and surveillance report and NCR with the
corresponding team

 Responsible for making the loop Folders and Pre-commissioning packages and
attending the loop checking with the client.

 Responsible to maintain all the documents for the final hand over as per the
project procedures.

 Technically sound and fully responsible for safe execution of project in

Electrical and Instrumentation works

 Ensure that the work is being taken in good Engineering Practices and conform
to the standards, NEC, NEMA and other relevant standards, Project
requirements and scope of works

 Execution of packages, cable tray, conduit works, panel installation and

alignment, wiring termination, Junction box support, Local panel installation,
Meggering and Continuity test Etc

 Installation of Grounding systems, and report the ground resistance testing

records
 Ensure that all quality control documentation is compiled and completed for as-
built hand over through QC turnover Engineer
