Abstract:
INTRODUCTION
The researchers’ main purpose in conducting this study is to help create a product, which is cheaper and could
use the same quality as the one using oranges. This study aims to help people who do not have enough money
to buy expensive hand sanitizer. It also helps the researchers determine the similarities and differences
between the two products have by comparing their qualities.

BODY
The procedure in making this product is simple. First, scrape the gel inside the Aloe Vera leaves. After scraping
the gel, put it in a plastic container and added 1 cup of Ethyl alcohol and 2 teaspoons of Glycerine. Next, grate
the orange to get the zest and add it to the mixture, then, mix until well blended. Lastly, the group recycled a
small bottle that was used as a container for the mixture.

CONCLUSION
The researchers concluded that the Aloeup are found in stores and have the cheapest price. The group is
confident that the product is effective because of Ethyl alcohol. The researchers advised using more Aloe Vera
for the product to be more jelly.

REFERENCE
The researchers, therefore, conclude that the citrus hand sanitizer was confidently a success because of the
presence of Ethyl alcohol that made it more disinfectant and the ingredients used to make the hand sanitizer
were readily available and easily accessible in the market.

Abstract:
Introduction:
Hand sanitizers are now part of our everyday life and will be used in large quantities during the current global
situation due to COVID-19. Due to a surge of demand for hand sanitizer around the world, the price of hand
sanitizer is increasing.
BODY:
Therefore, it would be much more cost-effective to make homemade hand sanitizer. This study aims to test if
a homemade sanitizer made from lemon and orange and 70% isopropyl alcohol is as effective as commercial
hand sanitizer. The homemade sanitizers are kept in close-lid jars for 6 weeks to fully extract the flavour. The
Principle of Paper Chromatography is used in testing the effectiveness of the homemade hand sanitizer. The
ink which is used in a water-resistant ballpoint pen does not dissolve in water but very quickly dissolves in
alcohol.
CONCLUSION:
This causes the ink to move along the front of the diffusing sanitizer and spreading out. If the alcohol content
is less, the solubility of the ink is not sufficient and the line does not move.
REFERENCE:
Therefore, the quality of homemade hand sanitiser is as effective as commercially-made hand sanitizers.

Keep clean with easy-to-make hand-sanitizer. There’s nothing better than a good old-fashioned hand
scrubbing to prevent the spread of germs and viruses, but if soap and water aren’t available, an alcohol-based
hand sanitizer works wonders.

home, make sure your space and countertops are clean, wash your hands before making the sanitizer, mix
your concoction with a clean spoon and whisk, and don’t touch the mixture with your hands until it’s ready to
use.
Conclusion:
The key to making effective (germ-busting) hand sanitizer is to stick to a 2:1 proportion of alcohol to aloe vera.
This keeps the alcohol content to around 60% which is the minimum needed to kill germs.

resources for safe creation and proper utilization. Only use homemade hand sanitizers in situations when
handwashing isn’t available. Don’t use them on children’s skin as they may be more prone to use them
