PROJECT NAME: The Mentalist

-Spreading knowledge about mental health issues.

INTRODUCTION
-The Mentalist, Our project objective is to raise awareness of mental health
disorders, encourage people to maintain their mental health, and help people better
understand their disorders. Raising mental health awareness can assist you in understanding
your symptoms, locating qualified medical assistance, and, perhaps most importantly,
eradicating the stigma associated with mental illness that forces so many individuals to suffer
in silence. Why do we need to raise awareness about mental health? It's because people
frequently endure mental illness in silence and have their ailments go untreated as a result of
misunderstandings regarding mental health and mental fitness. An important social effort to
raise understanding and access to healthcare is mental health awareness.
PURPOSE
-The purpose of our project is, whether someone directly struggles with a mental
health condition, Mental Health Awareness of the impact mental illness has on people’s lives,
teaches people how to address their issues, and emphasize advocacy strategies. Discussing
mental health publicly can help get rid of stigma and misconceptions, as well as motivate
those who are experiencing difficulties to get assistance and find a support system.
Understanding how mental health affects daily living is crucial for caregivers, friends, and
family members.

DESCRIPTION
- Adults, teenagers, and young teenagers of all ages are welcome to the event. The
event will take place every Sunday in January 2023 from 1 to 3 p.m. in 10 different
barangays in Puerto Princesa City. The participants will receive complimentary refreshments,
and the book "The Mentalist" will be available during the conversation itself. The project will
use online media, especially Facebook, to raise and spread awareness.

A website called (thementalists.com) and a Facebook page called @thementalists will also be
launched as part of the project.

SUPPORT
-The project will cost between 25,000 and 50,000 pesos, according to estimates.
The budget will be used to fund the extraordinary event, which will take place in 5 different
barangays throughout Puerto Princesa. This covers the meals, audiovisual equipment,
decorations, and necessities. This event should be publicized to everyone because it will be
advantageous to not just you but also everyone nearby. You'll gain a deeper understanding of
your feelings as a result of this important occurrence.
