The Company, now seeks to recruit and create talented and sustainable Human
Resource Pool of Professionals, with high levels of Integrity, dedication and
commitment, geared towards driving the Company generated business, both in
the short and long term. The staff will work as part of an exciting team with a
vision of becoming better professionals and execute the Company’s mandate.
The successful candidates will be engaged as and when the respective projects
are rolled out.
Applications are therefore invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the
following Positions;

a) The coordinating arm between the Project construction team, the
Client, the Supervising Consultant and the NHCC Management
b) Oversee the project organization, coordination, monitoring,
reporting, controlling and planning requirements for the
Construction works of the project.
c) Identification, assessment and preparation of claims for
consideration by the Employer.
d) Supervising the Project Team with respect to managing Client
requirements and expectations in achieving targets and milestones.
e) Ensure compliance on the Project including, compliance to
drawings, instructions, specifications, Ugandan laws and statutory
guidelines on Project implementation.

d) Three (3) years of which shall be as a site Engineer on a road
Construction project (Bitumen Standard)

d) 7 years of specific experience in road and Bridge Construction
works three (3) of which as a Pavement/materials Engineer on a
road construction project (Bitumen Standard)

b) Seven (7) years of specific experience in Construction works three
(3) years of which as a senior Electrical Engineer or similar position
on a construction project
c) Registered with the relevant professional body as a Must

b) Experienced in the use of different automated survey equipment, Total
Stations, Data loggers and Global Positioning Systems (GPS) Control.
c) Six (6) years of specific experience in road and Bridge Construction works
of which two (2) years as a Senior Land surveyor on a road construction
project (Bitumen Standard)
d) Registered with the relevant professional body as a Must

a) Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, or Environmental science or
sociology or closely related discipline form a recognised
University/Institution.
b) Post Graduate Training in Environmental Management or sociology.
c) Six (6) years of specific experience in Construction works two years of
which as a Sociologist of Environmentalist on a road construction project
(Bitumen Standard)
d) Valid Practicing License issued by the relevant professional body.
Manage the project operating budget, and monitor project cost performance.
Specifically;

d) Possession of a Post Graduate Diploma in Project Planning and
Management, or Business Management, from recognized Institution shall
be an added advantage.
e) Relevant working experience of 3 (three) years as a Project & Cost
Accountant, or in a similar position, in a large and reputable organization,
preferably a vibrant commercial organization, or a civil works Company,
or an Investment Company.
a) Setting out and erection of Masonry works; Set out work using chalk
lines, plumb bobs, tapes, squares, and levels etc.
b) Supervising batching, mixing, transportation and placement of
Concrete.
c) Placement, compaction, levelling and finishing of concrete works
d) Carry out finishes to works including, plastering, Screeding, paving,
copings etc.
e) Prepare material schedules and cost estimates for evaluation by the
Quantity surveyor and consideration by the Site Engineer

f) Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other
construction professionals to facilitate synergy on sites.

b) Three (3) years’ experience on road Construction projects, as a Steel
fixer on a Construction project.
c) Ability to read and interpret reinforcement drawings

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

a) Receive goods into the stores, label goods and ensure their safe custody, as
per the Financial & Investment Procedures manual.
b) Check consistency between bin cards, stock cards and system transactions.
c) Release goods and cost them to the relevant projects, as per the Financial
& Investment Procedures manual.
d) Participate in, or perform periodic stock-taking and prepare the
appropriate documents and reports to enable smooth and productive
stock-taking.
e) Check and supervise transactions processed at project stores to ensure
correct categorization (material codes) at the point of receipt and issue;
correct pricing and costing as per the stock valuation procedure;
f) Update of both the bin cards and stock cards.
g) Identification of obsolete, slow moving and damaged stock for correct
accounting treatment.
h) Provide the necessary information to guide operations and procurement
decisions.
i) Ensure inter-site transfers and that residual stock from closed projects are
transferred to a duly approved location, using the correct procedures, to
affect both physical and system transfers.
j) Ensure that reconciliation is done on a monthly basis and monitor stock
balances (items received, issued and system balances), as well as
periodic/annual

d) Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and
accident prevention
e) Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and
operation
f) Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe condition
g) Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle
worker’s compensation claim
h) Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new
prevention measures
i) Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistic
j) Ensures Company premises are free from hazardous substances which
may be chemical, physical, or biological substances
k) Reviews emergency situations to consider what the organization could
have done to prevent them from occurring

c) Carry out compliance tests to ensure that operational and financial
processes are executed in line with NHCCL policies and regulations as
well as applicable laws and regulations
d) Prepare audit reports in line with NHCCL Internal Audit policies and
procedures
e) Follow up all recommendations on audit findings as per NHCCL’s
guidelines
f) Participate and carry out control risk self –assessment (CRSA) for all
Company projects and as assigned from time to time as per NHCCL risk
Management strategy and Departmental procedures
g) Provide independent assurance on the effectiveness of the processes put in
place by management to manage the risk of fraud as per the NHCCL
Fraud policy.
h) Provide assurance on the reliability of information systems (input, process
and output) and ensure that all computerized systems comply with the
statutory regulations and generally accepted accounting principles,
adequate financial controls, established Company plans and procedures,
system security policies and effective systems development guidelines
i) Through the Departmental resources, demonstrate understanding of the
Company business and make value adding recommendations that
contribute to the overall realization of the Company mandate and
profitability.
