Ethics in art is important.

First, as I know, it differentiates between western culture and

Islamic culture. This means that art in Islam is a creation, or the meaning of casting and
expressing artistically the ideas and spiritual experiences of Muslim artists. According to
Prof. Dr. Abdul Hadi W.M. (in George: 2012: xxvii), the spiritual potential in a work of visual
art is very important in Islamic art. Unlike western culture that practices freedom in creativity.
That being said, Art Ethics helps artists and artists find orientation in their work. The purpose
is for artists not to create works by imitating or following the works of other artists. Striving for
the artist to understand himself in determining his attitude, related to the artwork he creates.
In fact, Art Ethics helps artists to be more able to take responsibility for their work that they
work on and present to people. Art ethics is very important in art because it is a systematic
thinking about values regarding the selection of means, procedures, and content in the
creation of art.
As we know, humans initially used art to communicate with themselves and convey
something. Therefore art affects the identity of individuals, communities and the relationship
between people and their environment. As a result, the answer is no, because if there is no
ethics in art, people will use unlimited freedom in art at will to distort and incite society and
human minds to be unethical in themselves and thus affect behavior. In conclusion, ethics is
very necessary because art can contribute to the ethical life of society, as exemplified by
visual arts such as fine art and industrial art and even non-visual art such as performing art
and literary art.
