Module 2. CHARACTERISTICS OF THE COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION MODEL

INTENDED LEARNING OUTCOMES: At the end of this module, the student must have:

considering COVID 19 as health issue using the table.

INTRODUCTION

The Community Organization Model is a participatory decision-making process that empowers

communities to improve health. It emphasizes active participation from the community in identifying key
health issues and strategies to address them. Communities focus on their strengths and collectively
mobilize to develop programs to achieve health goals.

ABSTRACTION
Implementation considerations on Community Organization Model covers successful health
promotion and disease prevention programs rely on involvement from the community. When individual
community members come together to identify problems and strategies to address them, it increases the
ability of the program to affect change. Other benefits of community organization include empowerment
of community members, increased of ownership among community members for their health, and
improved social support for achieving healthy changes.

APPLICATION
Instruction: Based on the model presented and reaction indicated in the above activities, as Future Police
Officer someday, create At least 3 program of activities using the community organization model
considering COVID 19 as a universal issue in the country. Use the table in presenting your output.

INTRODUCTION

Community organization of community-based organization refers to organizing aimed at making

desired improvements to a community’s social health, well-being, and overall functioning. Community
organization occurs in geographically, psychosocially, culturally, spiritually, and/or digitally bounded
communities.
Community organization includes community work, community projects, community development,
community empowerment, community building and community mobilization. It is a commonly used model
for organizing community within community projects, neighborhoods, organizations, voluntary associations,
localities, and social networks, which may operate as ways to mobilize around geography, shared space,
shared experience, interest, need, and/or concern.

Instruction: Conduct an interview in any member of your family, relatives, friends and neighbors involve
in either public or private Organization using the Checklist provided.

This is according or based on/to the efficiency and the effectiveness of the organizations whether the
members are all working well to reach its goal, if then, the organization will be mobilized towards
success. The effectiveness depends on an individual in a group, if the group will work effectively and
efficiently therefore the mission and the vision of organization will likely to succeed.

Based on the gathered data from the agreement of my respondents, I think the Organization will likely to
prosper due to the evidences such as records, activities, webinars, seminars or any forms of educational
programs setforth by the DepEd are all substantial and essential to the learners need.
