Rules for the preparation of Electoral Rolls for the wards and Trade
Union Special Constituency in the City of Nagpur.
[Under Section 10]
1. (1) The Chief‘Executive Officer shall, unless otherwise directed
by ‘tho stato Government, start the preparation of an electoral roll for
each-of the wards into which the city is divided and for the Trade Union
spevial constituency created under section 9, six months before the date
on which the term of the Corporation is due to expire.
(2) Every such roll shall contain the names of all persons who
appear to be entitled to vote in the ward or special constituency for
which tho roll is under preparation.
2, (1)'The electoral roll shall show the name, father’s name or
husband’s name, profession, age, address and serial number of the elector.
(2) The Chief Executive Officer shall cause a sufficient number
of copies of the electoral roll to be prepared in such manner as he consi-
ders convenient.
(3) Each candidate for election in-a ward or special constituency
shall bo entitled to purchase from the Chief Excoutive Officer at a fair
price one copy of the electoral roll for that ward or special constituency.
3, As soon as the electoral roll for a ward or special constituency
is ready but not later than four months prior to the date of olection,
the Chief Executive Officer shall—
(a) publish the same at the following places:-—
(i) at the office of the Corporation;
(ii) in the oso of wards at such places as he thinks proper,
in the ward to which it relates;
(iii) in the case of special constituencies the relevant electoral
rolls at the office of the Registrar, Trade Unions; and
(b) cause a proclamation to be made in each ward and at each of
the offices mentioned in sub-rule (a) (iii) above in such a manner as
he deems fit that the electoral roll for that ward or special Constituency,
as the case mey bo, has beer published ‘and can be inspected at the
-places mentioned ‘in the proclamation,68,
4. (1) To the copies of the electoral

objection in the manner and within the time specified below to the
Chief Executive Officer.
