The Management is pleased to revise the Post Retirement tyledical Benefit Scheme
(PRMBS), ior eligible ietired officers of the Company. i

1.0 The revised Scheme will be applicable with effect trom 0)-04-2014.

2.0 As per Clause No. 3.1 of the existing Scheme, the amount of existing annual
ceiling for medical expenses incurred during hospitalization and domiciliary
hospitalization and for costs towards consultation, pathological and other test in
which hospitalization is not necessary, is increased by 15%. Therefore the
annual ceiling will be as under:-
(i) For Grade-l officers - Rs. 69,000/-
(ii) For Grade-ll officers - Rs. 57,500/-
The Annual ceiling is further bifurcated as below:

(a) lOYo amount of annual ceiling amount shall be claimed for Consultation,
Pathological, Radiological test etc. without Hospitalization.
(i) For Grade-l officers - Rs. 6,900/-
(ii) For Grade-ll officers - Rs. 5,750/-

(b) 90% amount of the annual ceiling amount is for indoor patient treatment in
Hospitalwhich is as under:
(i) For Grade-l officers - Rs. 62,100l-
(ii) For Grade-ll officers - Rs. 51,7501-
3.0 The unclaimed amount of above mentioned respective ceiling at the end of year
will be carried fonrvard to next year by adding with New Year's amount with
maximum ceiling of three years as explained below.

The annual ceiling amount will be available for a block of three years. The three years
block will be effective/begin from 01-04-2014 and will end at 31-03-2017. Therefore the
maximum limit for a block of three years will be as per the following table:-

4.0 The eligible retired officers can claim the medical benefits for the block of three
years with effect from 01-04-2014 and the benefit amount may be claimed either
in a single claim or in multiple claims within the limits,ds prescribed above and

within the period of three years block. i*
5.0 No further claim will be entertained by the Company,,{n case total amount of
medical benefits claimed by the officer reaches the limit of maximum prescribed
amount for the block of three years.

Explanation:

lf the officer claims the maximum combined limit in a single claim or multiple
claims either in the first year or second year of the block, further claim will not be
allowed for him in next year/s of the said block.

All other rules, regulations and practices with regard to eligibility etc. will remain
unchanged.
