MATERIAL NOTES:
1. Dimensional standards shall be in accordance with ASME B16.5 (Flanges), ASME B16.9 (Butt Weld Fittings), ASME
B16.11 (Forged Steel Fittings), and ASME B16.10 (Valves).
2. Reducing fitting thickness shall match heavier pipe wall thickness.
3. Refer to Specification WAGP-P-P-SA-0016 for Valves.
4. Socket weld ball valves must be in the open position when welded into piping to prevent damage to seating.
5. Valves are limited for seat and seal materials. For services expected to exceed 121.1°C (250ºF), valve seat and seal
materials shall be checked for suitability and valve type designations modified as required prior to purchase.
6. Instrument connections shall be screwed beyond the first block valve off of process piping.

NOTE: Socketweld piping is required in this service below 2". Threaded piping is only permitted
where socketweld devices are not available. Where threaded piping is required (Limited to
11/2" NPT Maximum), the following shall apply:
1. Pipe wall thickness shall be schedule XXS minimum.
2. Fitting ratings shall match those specified for socket weld fittings
3. ASME B16.5, Pipe Flanges and Flange Fittings, shall be used to derate the maximum allowable
working pressure for temperatures from 37.8 to 343.3°C (100 to 650°F).
