“Read “The Mitten” book.
Then each child will get to be an
animal from the story as we
act out the story.
= Create a huge mitten made out of
tape on the floor and each
chid will hold a picture of an
animal in the story. When the
animal is name in the book,
as | retell the story, the child
hoiding the respective
animal wil jump into the
mitten on the floor,
“Children will make a drawing of
what they like to do in the
winter, Put their words on the
picture. Then create our own
class book of what each
child likes to do in the winter.
Quip painting on black and blue paper.
“This will replicate what it looks like at night and
day during the season of winter.
“The children vill use @-tips and white paint to
create their unique representational
painting of wintor during the night and
during the day,
Mix shaving with glue
Children wil then use a paintbrush to apply
mixture to look like snowballs on
blue paper.
Then they will sprinkle some gliter to make it
shiny
Freeze paint in ice tray with Popsicle sticks for
chidren to use as a paintbrush to
paint on watercolor paper.
