1 Training courses & counseling
Due to the common sense that competition is inevitable, both sides
of our management teams agreed to offer professional training courses
every weekend to improve staff’s working performance. FH 8 October
Meanwhile, if anyone gets anxious or uncomfortable about our
re-applying procedures, we also provide free counseling from
experienced counselors. One thing we can be sure of is excellent
staff will always be welcomed. FH 8 October

2 Notification in advance
Although the redundancies are expected, we hope our productivity will
not be affected. An email would be sent to the staff whose performance
has fallen out of expectations. And the email will inform them that a
performance improvement plan (PIP) will be given to the staff before the JL 5 October
final redundancies. If they can get through the PIP, they will stay.

3 Recommendation letters
Compensation package amount will be adjusted and announced with
a new one after the meeting of the human resources department next
Monday. Besides, a recommendation letter from our CEO can be provided
on request to assist their re-employment. LH 9 October

4 Fee reimbursement
We fully encourage our staff to improve their English communication skills.
Therefore, from now on, whoever takes an English course can take the
invoice to the finance department and get a full amount reimbursement. JL 2 October

5 New brochure
All the issues mentioned by our staff will be properly improved gradually.
We sincerely wish our employees could have a relaxing and enjoyable
working environment. And a draft brochure about our new management
style will be circulated so that it can be approved and sent to the printers
by 15 October. ZH 15 October

Action plan
We plan to gather staff feedback 3 months later and check if our morale has been promoted, and
the following steps will be critical to our success of reformation.

October
Start training courses in the conference rooms and determine the redundancy list before email
notifications.
Print out the draft brochure about the new management style and announce the new compensation
package amount.
Improve the menu of the staff restaurant and increase the budget of the cook’s salary.

November
Provide recommendation letters for the staff who are already being made redundant.
Examine and approve the invoice for the English courses’ reimbursement and then pay.
Open new recruiting channels for senior management positions for local Chinese staff.

December
Hold a party for all the staff who have kept their jobs following the merger.
Replace some senior management positions from Australian to Chinese and accomplish the
handover process.
Carry out anonymous surveys among the staff and collect the feedback on these actions.
