1)Describe your Innovation Solution?

Answer:

In the past few years, vehicle detection has become an important task for advanced driver assistance
systems (ADAS). Both LiDAR and cameras are often used for such sensing applications. LiDAR provides an
excellent range of information but with limits to object identification. on the other hand, the camera
allows for better recognition but with limits to the high-resolution range of information. Fusing Lidar and
Camera would combine both advantages and is our solution to the efficient ADAS compared to the
conventional ones for a safe and automated driving experience, as well as support the local automotive
industry.

2)What Problems will your solution solve?

Answer:

In the past few years, object detection and identification have become important tasks for advanced
driver assistance systems (ADAS). The main theme of our project is to develop a prototype of ADAS with
integrated advantages from LiDAR and camera vision. To develop an ADAS so the local automotive
industry of Pakistan will get support from our project.

3) Who will take benefit from your proposed solution?

Answer:

As we have seen in our daily lives we are so busy using our phones even during driving and because of it,
we face major accidents because we never know that our distance from the car next to us has reduced
and due to this, we face an accident so our project aims to do a fusion of Lidar and camera so that we
can know about the distance and the obstacles ahead of us or next to us and this fusion will develop the
ADAS. LiDAR in contrast with the Camera offers precise 3D measurement data over short to long ranges
even in challenging weather and lighting conditions. This technology can be combined with other
sensory data to provide a more reliable representation of both static and moving objects in the vehicle’s
environment.

4) How is your idea unique and different from existing solutions?

Answer:

Our idea is unique and different from existing solutions because we can see no one in Pakistan is
working on the fusion of lidar and camera and if some had done some work on it so haven’t shown their
work on big platforms so that people may know about it and we can see that all of these things are
imported from other countries which are very much expensive so if we start this industry here it will
help our auto industry
5) How much time is required for the outcomes of your solution?

Answer: Please write a paragraph on it by starting the project in September 2022 and ending it in July
2023

6) Have you secured any grant or investment for your solution?

Answer:

We have applied for a few but haven’t gotten any updates yet.
