CONTINGENCY PLAN ON SPECIFIC HAZARD


(Before, During and After the ACTIVITIES)

1. Bad Weather
 Before
I. Make sure that all necessary document is already in place on a sager ground.
II. There must be a safe alternative hiding place in case of bad weather conditions.
III. Check the participant’s basic personal provisions in case of bad weather conditions.
IV. Emergency numbers including parents/guardians must always be in place.
V. Proper coordination with the LGU and others.

 During
I. Maintain calmness and don’t panic
II. Proceeds to the safe alternative hiding area
III. Headcounts
IV. Call assistance if needed
V. Assist using electrical appliances/gadgets that may cause secondary disaster
VI. Informed parents/ guardians.
VII. Inventory of personal belongings/gadgets of the participants must be done inside the
safe alternative hiding area.

 After
I. Headcounts
II. Inventory of damaged personal/belongings;
III. Preparing the turn-over log book if the participants need to be pulled out by the
parents/guardian/family.

2. Safety and Security


 Before
I. Firefighting assets is also a preposition.
II. Planning conference of all personnel involved in safety and security.
III. Posting and Reminding of Evacuation plans, emergency numbers and all the policies
needed to have a safe and secured seminar.
IV. Preposition all possible safety and security structural asset in school.
 During
I. Conduct random checks of all the personal belongings passing through the gate.
II. Roving of guards every hour.
III. Visibility of security personnel on the pre-identified identified chocked area.
IV. Logbook all a towards incident.
 After
I. Inventory of the area used as kitchen.
II. Turn off light and appliances inside the classrooms used during the seminar.
III. Inventory of materials used during the seminar and put it in proper designated area.
IV. Head counts before going out the venue.

3. Fire
 Before
I. Clean all combustible materials.
II. Preposition evacuation routes.
III. Post emergency hot lines.
IV. Discuss to the participants the evacuation Plan.

 During
I. Initiate evacuation plans.
II. Be aware of the wind direction.
III. Call for help.
IV. Put off the fire if it still manageable.
V. Give enough space for emergency personnel
VI. Stay calm don’t panic.

 After
I. Headcounts.
II. Inventory of damaged personal/belongings.
III. Preparing the turn-over log book if the participants need to be pulled out by the
parents /guardian/family.
