    This study evaluated the use of green walls as a passive acoustic insulation system for buildings. The study assessed the sound insulation performance of different green wall configurations through measurements in a laboratory. Results showed that green walls can provide sound insulation, with thicker vegetation layers and heavier plants performing better. However, their insulation capabilities were still below conventional insulation materials.
