Teatwand EXACT Preventative

Maintenance Schedule Rev 3.


Warning – ensure Power and Air to the system is turned off before carrying out
certain maintenance checks.
Note: Preventative maintenance must be completed to ensure warranty is up held.

Daily Checks. 30 minutes by Dairyman.

□ Visually check system operation. Watch a minimum of 2 full carousel rotations.


□ Check nozzles are vertical – loosen 3 grub screws in black nozzle housing, realign,
tighten grub screws.
□ Ensure spray pattern is reaching teats – adjust spray
settings if necessary.
□ Check air pressure to Teatwands is still between 100-
120psi.

Weekly Checks. 1 Hour by Dairyman.

□ Check all cap screws on Teatwands are tight, 8 at rear and 4 square box section.
Check all bolts and clamps are tight. Check sensors are tight.
□ Check filter if installed, Located at teat spray pump. Clean if needed.

□ Check air pressure to teat spray pump is at correct level (between minimum of 35psi
and maximum of 55psi. More Pressure at the pump will deliver more teat spray.
Good to leave a label of desired pressure.
□ Check moving spray lines – if any wear is obvious replace ASAP.
□ Clean faces of all sensors – bail sensors (under platform), cow sensors and cow
position sensors.
Monthly Maintenance. 2 hours by Serviceman.

□ Carry out the usual weekly maintenance checks.


□ Replace teat spray lines and joiners.
□ Replace spring - if there is any sign of it being bent or loosing strength.

Three Monthly Maintenance. 4 hours by Serviceman.

□ Carry out usual Weekly and Monthly Checks.


□ Reseal Teatwand pneumatic cylinders – as per supplier instructions. If cylinder worn,
replace.
□ Check Teatwand extension; if sloppy replace square Teatwand Square bearings.
□ Replace 8mm elbows on pneumatic cylinder.
□ Check spray hose guide eyelet, replace if needed.
□ Check Teatwand rear pinch guard for wear, replace if needed.
□ Check and clean teat spray nozzles, replace if needed.

Single Part Nozzles FF003


Six Monthly Maintenance.

□ Include Weekly, Monthly and 3 monthly checks.


□ Replace Pneumatic Cylinder and Bush.
□ Replace Square bearings if Teatwand. Bedding on sand can wear these faster.
□ Replace Modified floating joint and check alloy square block.
□ Replace Spring.
