Task1(letter)

Dear Mrs Barret,

I am writing to you in connection with the advertisement I have read
this morning. I would appreciate some further information about my
duties in your house.

I must admit that I have been doing housework since I was 13 years
old. I have some experience in cleaning, gardening, ironing, fixing
household appliances. Moreover, I adore pets and I can offer assistance
in feeding and walking your pets. I am also a good cook because I have
been cooking since I was 15. I am grateful to my mother for this. So I
can prepare meals.

You see, I have a burning desire to work in your house because I need
some money for my future plans. Besides, I need more experience for
my future family life.

I must mention I will be available only at the weekend because I have a

full-time job. Unfortunately, I will not be available in weekdays because
I have a lot of work.

Therefore, if you feel that I am suitable for you, contact me anytime.

Nowadays, it is generally believed that plastic bags, plastic bottles and plastic
packaging are harmful to the environment. I can’t but agree with this opinion. To
my mind, so excessive using of plastic can cause serious problems and many
negative effects for us and nature.

Firstly, plastic things cause the pollution of the Earth through toxic pollutants.
Plastic wastes are non-biodegradable. It can take hundreds or thousands of years
for plastic to break down, so the environmental damage is long-lasting. Plastic
pollutes our land, therefore it ruins the fertility of the soil. It affects cultivated
plants and animals.
Secondly, plastic packaging pollutes water as well. The plastic litter is dumped
into the oceans and the seas. As a result, aquatic animals eat it and die.

To sum it up, plastic pollution is an essential problem for all parts of the word.
The government must be responsible for the solution of this problem, introducing
environmental policy. I think the government should start building recycling
plants, or even must put the plastic ban on the use of plastic. I am sure, it will save
our planet.

In addition to this, people must be very responsible for the environment and life
on the Earth. We must remember the rule of “3Rs” which stands for: Reuse,
Reduce, Recycle. Following this rule will help to protect the environment and
conserve resources through priority approach. In such a way we can get the most
practical benefits from products, generate the minimum amount of waste and
create a better outlook for future generations.
