STUDENT CODE OF DISCIPLINE

ARTICLE I – RULES OF CONDUCT

1. Every student is under moral obligation to uphold the good name of the school by practicing personal discipline-
including such traits as honesty, patience, fortitude, emotional stability, self-control, positive attitudes and values.
2. Every student should abide by the rules and regulations embodied in the student handbook.
3. Every student is expected and has the responsibility to safeguard all school property, refrain from acts of vandalism,
and report to any condition that may endanger life or destroy property.
4. Every student is expected to give due respect to all school officials, teachers, school personnel, duly constituted
authorities and elders.

ARTICLE II – THE STUDENT, HIS STUDIES AND C0-CURICULAR ACTIVITIES

1. Every student should practice efficient utilization of time and facilities of the school.
2. Every student is obliged to come to school regularly, in appropriate school attire.
3. Cheating in class in any form will not be tolerated.
4. Students representing the school in off campus activities should comply with pertinent school rules and regulations.
5. Any student who desires to participate in any strenuous activity must obtain a medical certificate from a physician.
6. Sportsmanship must be a norm of conduct and behavior of students in any competitive activity on or off campus.
ARTICLE III – GRAVE OFFENSES PUNISHABLE BY EXPULSION
1. Assaulting a teacher or staff member
2. Subversive act of affiliation with or participation in subversive movements – fraternities, sororities, clans and gangs.
3. Gross immorality or flagrant indecency.
4. Possession of deadly weapons, bladed weapons, and explosives including fire crackers.
5. Injuring, on purpose, another person with a knife or bladed weapon, lethal instrument or object.
6. Possessive, using , distributing, or peddling narcotics or dangerous drugs.
7. Acting as accomplice in any form of crime against persons and/or property
8. Extortion
9. Arson
10. Forgery, alteration or falsification of documents or records.
11. Cheating, taking an examination in place of another student.

SECTION II A– OFFENSES PUNISHABLE BY SUSPENSION DEPENDING UPON THE GRAVITY OF THE OFFENSE
1. Drunkenness
2. Vandalism, tearing or defacing any library book, magazine or periodical, and destruction of classroom structuring
3. Physically attacking, verbal abuse to another student
4. Coming to school with the smell and or under the influence of liquor
5. Deliberate disruption or disturbance of school affairs including classes
6. Gambling inside the school campus
7. Acts of indecency
8. Smoking within the school campus
9. Defacating in any place other than toilets
10. Using another person’s identification card/library card
11. Bullying
SECTION II B
1. Sporting hair other than the prescribed hair cut
2. Wearing of earrings among boys, wearing of caps inside the classrooms and social functions
3. Non-wearing of identification card inside the classroom and school campus.
4. Misconduct inside the classroom such as shouting, playing, and making unnecessary noise
5. Public display of affection
6. Littering
7. Loitering
8. Spitting on floors and walls
9. Texting/using cellphone and other gadgets inside the classroom including charging
SECTION IV –ANY STUDENT REPEATING THE SAME OFFENSE SHALL BE DEALT WITH MORE SEVERELY
I, the undersigned, have read and understood everything stated on the Student’s Code of Discipline of Surigao del Norte
National High School for this school year. I hereby affix my signature as confirmation that I will abide and be guided by all the
policies and procedures as clearly specified. Non-compliance on my part with any rule or regulation shall constitute sufficient
ground for termination of my enrollment or for disciplinary actions depending on the gravity of my offense.
