One event highlight and rationale

- We address 2 bottlenecks from last year and give an improvement for this year’s event:
o The pace of the parade: through marshalling, we were able to control the pace of the
parade and the speed of every float, making it easier for the parade to extend its time
from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. (1 hour 30 minutes). We could extend the parade a bit longer if
the clients wanted to.
o The exit strategy: with the help of volunteer, we were able to keep the end of the
parade clear and congestion-free. The parking lot had more capacity that expected and
there was no confusion for every float when unloading
- Area for improvement and rationale:
o The sponsorship strategy: the sponsorship ask could have been carried out sooner.
- Solution to Challenges:
o At the staging area, there was time of congestion and there was not enough space for
attendees at some position, because we were not given enough clear information of the
float attended (how much space do they need, how many vehicles in the parade)
