1) Use environment
・This equipment should be used indoors.
・This equipment should be used at ambient temperatures from 0°C to 40°C
and an ambient humidity of 25-85%.

2) Electric power
Only allow Matsui service personnel or an employee in your company who has
expert knowledge about electricity to carry out a check or replacement, as
operation includes the possibility of failure or danger.

3) Never use with gas

Never use this product with a combustible, explosive gas or vapor.
It is extremely dangerous.

4) Prohibition of Modifications
Never perform reconstruction or modification without our approval. We cannot
be held responsible for any problems caused by modification or reconstruction.

5) Maintenance checks and parts replacement

Before checking and replacements, make sure to stop operation and turn “OFF”
the primary power supply.

6) Maintenance
Maintenance worker:
Do not check or replace except by an employee who has expert knowledge
about the product, because operation includes the possibility of failure or
danger.
When using a crane or hoist in a case to replace a gear motor, a qualified
person should observe necessary safety rules such as occupational health and
safety regulations and electric facility technical standards.
Clothing:
Avoid clothing which is easily caught, and wear safety shoes.
Wear thick gloves which protect your hands from being cut to prevent injuries
as it is necessary to handle the cutter.

※If abnormal vibration is identified, stop the unit immediately and find the
cause of the vibration.

CAUTION

Do not operate the granulator when unnatural vibration is identified.

Check that the unit body and motor do not have abnormally high temperatures.
※If these reach abnormally high-temperatures, stop the unit immediately and
find the cause of the high heat.

CAUTION

Do not operate the granulator when it has high heat.

Measure the load-current value under operation, and make sure that it is in the
rated value range.
The rated value is noted on the nameplate of the motor.

shop-vacuum cleaner. Check the blade condition edges on the fixed cutters.
5. Close the feed hopper, and secure it with the clamp.
6. Remove the clamp of the cutter chamber, supported on the side where the
feed hopper falls, and open slowly.
7. Remove dust that sticks to the inside of the granulator (rotating cutters)
with a vacuum cleaner and brush.
8. Insert the provided metal rod (with knob) into the upper hole of the dust
wiper, and rotate the rotating cutters.
9. Check the blade condition edges of the rotating cutters, while turning.
10. As for the lower part of the granulator and return cover (rotor of large
rotating cutters), eliminate any dust with a compressed air nozzle.
11. When cleaning is finished, lift the feed hopper slowly, and close.
Then, secure the cutter chamber of the granulator with the clamps.

WARNING

◎When the feed hopper is opened, support the feed hopper from the
back side and lower it down slowly!
Do not insert hands/ fingers into pinch-points, or near the hinges, or
hinge-stoppers.
When the feed hopper is ready to be closed, lift it slowly. If it seems
too heavy to lift, ask someone to assist you!
At that time, be careful not to insert hands and fingers into the pinch
points.
When hands and fingers are inserted into pinch points, there is a risk
of suffering lacerations and fractures.
◎Do not touch the granulating cutters carelessly. The granulating
cutters are sharp and there is a risk that hands and fingers will suffer
lacerations.

NOTE
When cleaning with an air gun, use a face-mask, as debris may scatter
in the air.

Before inserting the cutter into the shaft, make sure to thinly apply
molybdenum disulfide grease on the side of the key and the shaft.

[CAUTION]
Do not tap the cutter unnecessarily when
inserting the cutter onto the shaft.
If it is inserted obliquely or tapped, the shaft is
ground or a burr will be generated. Then the shaft
cannot be pulled out because the cutter is very
hard.
Carefully align with the hole, and insert it into the
shaft straightly.

WARNING

The bearing to be inserted (internal gap of 6210) is a

special one.
If general clearance CN or other internal clearance or
another company’s bearing is substituted, damage to the
bearing or damage to the cutters may be caused. Also
note that damage is not covered by our warranty. For
replacement, make sure to contact Matsui Service.
