vertically through the full building’s height without any obstruction, except
the permitted protrusions

A space, connected through its upper side to the sky, and surrounded by walls
from all sides.
External Court/Courtyard/Patio
A space, connected through its upper side to the sky, and at least one of its
sides coincides the road limit
Pocket Courtyard
A space, connected through its upper side to the sky, and through one of its
sides to the road or a courtyard. Rooms & utilities, which are have no direct
access to a road or a courtyard, can have openings to that pocket for
ventilation & day lighting

doesn't exceed the person’s height, so that it allows viewing of the
external/ambient space.

Protruding Tower (Burj):


A protruding slab of an upper roofed floor, surrounded by walls with full story
height.
Roof Parapet
The wall/fence built above the last/upper roof slab of the building.
Cornice
Any decorative element or motive, which is protruding out of the external
wall.
