Strobe provides selectable candela intensity field selector for maximum performance. Horn & strobe shall be installed at hazardous and non-hazardous area. Voltage for power supply shall 24 VDC. Horns shall emit sound audible 70-100 dBA at 1 meter and 80 dBA in still air at 1 km. Sound alarms shall be emitted for at least 5 minutes, unless acknowledged and silenced at the Human Machine Interface (HMI). The tone or signal from the audible alarm shall not be similar to any other normal noise, tone or sound in the area. For outdoor purposes, the visual alarm shall use high intensity strobe lights, visible for 500meters and shall be emitted for at least 5 minutes. The colour of outdoor strobes shall not be similar to any other light used in the area. Outdoor audible alarms shall be electronic horns. Sound alarms shall be emitted for at least 5 minutes, unless acknowledged and silenced at the HMI.

8.1.8 Fire Alarm Bell and Flashing Light Fire alarm bell shall have a minimum output rating of 85 dB. Bell shall be able to use at outdoor service area. Bell shall meet UL requirement. Bell shall be surface mounted and swivel type to protect the sound in any direction. Flashing light shall be provided with alarm bell for annunciation of fire. The output of flashing light shall be at least 110 peak candle power. In all cases, flashing red lamps shall be provided in addition to the audible alarm in a clearly visible location, preferably above every exit door, to indicate a hazardous situation in there spective room or area. Audible and visual alarms shall be provided as shown on approved detail drawings. A common audible and visual alarm may be used for areas comprised of multiple fire zones provided that the alarm annunciation is not shielded from the affected fire zone. The audible alarms shall not be less than 95 dBA throughout the protected area. 8.1.9 Manual Discharge & Abort Station Manual release switch is a dial actuation device which provides a means of manually discharging the automatic fire extinguishing system. The system abort switch is designed to be used in conjunction with other system equipment. It provides a temporary manual means by which the agent actuation circuit may be interrupted before automatic actuation occurs. 8.1.10 Warning Sign The warning sign provides an easy to understand and universal solution to your fire safety sign needs. All sign includes both text and symbols to help the viewer understand the message being conveyed. The material shall be semi-rigid PVC. 8.1.11 Junction Box Junction box and panel enclosures shall be robust and capable of withstanding pull-out cable load. a. The panel enclosures shall be: - 3 mm thick, aligned and rigid, applicable for outdoor use and provided with a roof for shade; - Provided with lifting and securing devices. - IP42 for indoors use. - IP 55 for outdoor non-hazardous areas (safe areas); - Increased safety (ex “e").
