Mechanical Daily Report for the OEA Site 26/10/2022


Observations from the morning site walk round on the OEA site. Please note that we are aware that
works are incomplete and that they are still in progress so the below observations are intended to
assist the Contractor and to seek clarification:

1 General housekeeping. Please cover ends of all FCU’s where installation works are
not on-going.:

Fig 1: GF HVAC

2 GF HVAC drawing pinned to wall at GF workshop / store entrance does not indicate
fresh air ductwork and so far none appears to have been installed. Please clarify the
intention regarding fresh air provision and which code is being followed.

Fig 2: On site GF AC drawing

3 AC units at 3rd appear to have intakes close to beams at rear. Please confirm this has
been considered and is ok for the design air flows.

Fig 3: AC units above auditorium at 3F

4 Lift Motor Rooms appear to have had previous through the wall AC units removed.
Please confirm the intention regarding cooling / extract for these rooms.

5 3F AC unit serving IT/Comms room is in the room itself. It is best practise and
Telecommunications code (BICSI etc) that high level FCU’s are located outside the space.
