Interview: Margot 77

Margot told us that she lived in Beverwijk with her father, mother and two brothers. Her
father had still both of his parents, her mother only had her father. She only had 1 aunt, the
sister of her father.
She mentioned that a historical fact was that president kennedy was shot in his car during a
parade, it impressed her because everyone talked about it.
For lunch she ate most of the times dutch food, potato vegetable meat and with salad on the
side. The food was always fresh made or from the bakery they had. She ate breakfast in the
morning, for lunch warm food and for diner bread, always brown bread. She got the
ingrediets for the dishes not from the supermarket, because they weren’t there but they got
them from the greengrocer, butcher or the bakery. They got milk from the milkman who
came by every day.
She told us that she did gymnastics very often, since she was 3 years onld. Her whole family
had done gymnastics but she was the only one who had continued to do it. She even entered
national competitions and became Dutch champion!
She couldn’t talk with anyone about her mental health, but she missed it, because sometimes
it’s nice to have someone to talk to about things you're struggling with.
