    (A) Brief about the submittal:


    The Contractor vide letter under reference has requested for consent from the Engineer regarding the
    Cement, Coarse Aggregate, Fine Aggregate, Admixture and Water from M/s. S.G. RMC Plant to be used
    for construction works in EMP-16 Package, Kharbao TSS.

    (B) Engineer’s observations:


    The Contractor’s submittal is reviewed by the Engineer and found in order in terms of Sub clause 1.11
    ‘Quality Assurance Requirement ‘and Sub Clause 7.9 ‘Civil work and Illumination at TSS SP SSP and at
    Station’ of Contract Agreement Part-3: Particular Specifications.

    (C) Engineer’s Recommendations:


    ‘Notice of No Objection’ (NONO) is accorded to the Source of Cement, Coarse Aggregate, Fine Aggregate,
    Admixture and Water from M/s. S.G. RMC Plant to be used for construction works in EMP-16 Package,
    Kharbao TSS, in terms of Sub clause 1.10.23 of General Specification Part 2 of Contract Agreement.
    FIDIC Clause 5.2 is relevant in this context which specifies that any such approval or consent, or any
    review shall not relieve the contractor from any obligation or responsibility. Subsequently if any errors,
    mistakes, discrepancies are found after this NONO, the same will be rectified by the Contractor on his
    own cost.
    The Letter conveying Engineer’s approval has been drafted and is being put up for your consent and
    review.
