2015/04/01 Automatic Lubrication System - Adjust (UENR4159-00)

SMCS - 7540 i06101417

The amount of grease that is delivered to the bearings can be changed in two ways. The operator can electronically change the
operating mode of the lubrication system which will change the interval between the lubrication cycles. The operator can also adjust the injectors
which will affect the amount of grease that is supplied per cycle.

The automatic lubrication system offers the ability to change the amount of grease that is supplied per cycle to each grease point. Changing the
grease supply amount is completed by adjusting lock nut (B) or replacing spectrum adjustment sleeve (C) on the injector. See Table 1 for
reference.

.Spectrum Adjustment System The Spectrum adjustment system consists of a set of color-coded anodized aluminum adjustment sleeves (C).
Adjustment sleeves (C) provide an easy way to adjust the output of the injectors and provide a clear indication of the output setting. The spectrum
adjustment system allows for easy system installation and preventative maintenance.

Install Spectrum adjustment sleeve (C) by doing the following:

Remove and discard locknut (B)

Place adjustment sleeve (C) onto adjustment screw (A)

Tighten adjustment screw (A) to 5 N·m (4 lb ft)

Programming the Pump - Pump Controller

Note: Timing can only be changed from CAT Advisor. The additional jumper included on the pump PCB does not allow changing
programming parameters via the keypad. Programming directions are only included as reference or for trouble shooting issues.

Note: Pump power must be ON to start programming.

Setting Pause Time - (P1) for hours and (P2) for minutes. To access the programming mode, press both buttons at the same time for 4 seconds
until (P1) appears in the display.

Programming Options  Pause Time

(P1)  0 - 59 hours
(P2)  0 - 59 minutes
Minimum pause time  4 minutes
Maximum pause time  59 hours 59 minutes

Table 2

Setting Hours (P1) When the two buttons are released, the current value will appear. Hour is indicated by a dot on the right-hand side. Press the
Key shown in Illustration 4 for setting the following hour functions:

Settings are made in one direction 0,1, 2, 3, ... 59 hours

Button pressed once increases value by 1 hour

Button pressed continuously increases value in quick sequence

Setting Minutes (P2)Press the key shown in Illustration 4 so that (P2) appears in the display. When releasing the button the current value will
appear. Minute is indicated by a dot on the left-hand side. Press the Key shown in Illustration 4 for setting the following minute functions:

Settings are made in one direction 0,1, 2, 3, ... 59 minutes

Button pressed once increases value by 1 minute

Button pressed continuously increases value in quick sequence

Note: If hour (P1) is set to 00, the display will show a minimum pause time of 4 minutes.
Programming the output signal for both alarm relays (P4) The default setting on the printed circuit board for the alarm contacts is switching to
battery minus. Press the Key shown in Illustration 5 so that (P4) appears in the display.

When releasing the button the currently set value appears in the display. The factory set value is (NO), normally open contact. On a fault condition
the alarm contact will close.

By pressing the Key shown in Illustration 4 the external fault contact is modified by programming it as a (NC) normally closed contact. On a fault
condition the alarm contact will open.

(P5) Two options for signaling a fault condition with alarm relays (F1) and (F2). Press the Key shown in Illustration 5 so that (P5) appears in
the display.

(o1) Option 1 (P4) is set to the default of Normally Open. F1 relay contact

(F1) Fault contact to repeatedly open and close

(F1) A pressure fault will cause the F1 contact to close and stay closed

(F2) A low-level fault or a pressure fault will cause the F2 contact to close and stay closed

Press the Key shown in Illustration 4 to change to Option 2.

(o2) Option 2 (P4) is set to the default of Normally Open

(F1) Fault contact will close on a low-level fault and stay closed.

(F2) Fault contact will close on a pressure fault and stay closed.

Both of these contacts can be used for remote signaling

Press the Key shown in Illustration 4 to change to Option 1.

Note: Option 2 is the default for the D11T installation.

(P6) When applying power to the pump it can be programmed to start with a pause time (SP) or to start with a lube cycle (SO).

Press the Key shown in Illustration 5 so that (P6) appears in the display. The currently set value will indicate if the cycle is to start with the pause
time (SP) or the lube cycle (SO).

The default setting for the pump is set to start with a pause time (SP), (Start Pause Time).

Press the Key shown in Illustration 4. Each time the pump is switched on, it will start with the lube cycle (SP), (Start Operation). After the first
lubricating time the preset pause time will be valid.

Completing the programming Press the Key shown in Illustration 5 until (P) is displayed.

Note: Always carry out the programming completely in order to save the new values.

Press the Key shown in Illustration 4 for additional lubrication, to complete the programming, and to save the entered parameters.

Note: If the key for additional lubrication is not pressed within 30 seconds, the changed parameters will not be saved and the previous
programming remains valid.

Note: After the programming is complete, check the parameter settings in the operation mode.

Programming of the pump with pressure switch is complete.
