Research Method

This type of research used in this study is a type of quantitative research. Quantitative is often
used as a synonym for data collection techniques (such as questionnaires) or data analysis
procedures (such as graphics or statistics) that generate or use data in the form of numbers
(Saunders, Lewis, & Thornhill, 2016). The same thing was explained by Sekaran and Bougie
(2016), according to them quantitative data is data in the form of numbers which are
generally collected through structured questions. According to Sugiyono (2015) quantitative
research methods can be interpreted as research methods based on positivism philosophy
samples, used to examine certain populations or samples, collecting data using research
instruments, analyzing quantitative or statistical data, with the aim of testing established
hypotheses.

According to Sekaran & Bougie (2016), population refers to all groups of people, events or
interesting things that a researcher wants to study. The population in this study are employees
of CV. Putera Tunggal Gemilang.

TYPES AND SOURCES OF DATA

1. Primary Data According to Sekaran & Bougie (2016), primary data is information obtained
by researchers on a first-hand basis regarding the variables studied to achieve research
objectives. The primary data source in this study was obtained directly from the company
through interviews with one of the employees working at the company.

2. Secondary Data According to Sekaran & Bougie (2016), secondary data is information that
has been collected from existing sources. Secondary data is structured and historical
regarding variables that have been collected and compiled previously by other parties. The
secondary data obtained in this study were obtained from internet searches, reading literature
books, reading journals and other research.
Data Collection Techniques According to Sekaran & Bougie (2016), data collection
techniques are an integral part of the research design. To obtain data related to the object
being studied and it is hoped that it can support the research, the authors collect data by:

1. Interviews are one method of data collection to obtain data and information from sources
orally. The interview process was carried out face-to-face with the resource persons, namely
employees of CV. Putera Tunggal Gemilang.

2. Questionnaire is a direct data collection technique (researchers do not directly ask and
answer with respondents). The data collection instrument or tool called a questionnaire
contains a number of questions that must be answered or responded to by the respondent.
Respondents have a habit of giving answers or responses according to their perceptions. The
questionnaire is a research method that must be answered by respondents to express their
views on an issue. The questionnaire contains questions and statements regarding the
characteristics of the respondents. The questionnaire was addressed to CV Putera Tunggal
Gemilang.
