1.-Listen to podcast #178 British Icons: Robin Hood and answer the following

questions:

1. What does Richard remember about the traditional British legend Robin Hood?

Richard, remember that you read a book and there were also many movies.

2. What is the story about?

He was a character from hundreds of years ago who had a gang of merry men and

stole from the rich to give to the poor.

3. In what year did Robin Hood first appear?

It's amazing to think that it first appeared in a poem in wow, 650 years.

4. Why is Robin Hood green?

Because it was a very expensive color.

5. Why were green clothes expensive?

Because first the fabric was dyed blue, and then they overdyed it yellow to obtain

green, so there was no green dye, two mixtures were needed, so it took more time to

make the fabric and it was more expensive.

Investigate about Robin Hood prince of thiefs and write 10 interesting facts about this

british icon.

1. Robin Hood is the legendary English ballad hero

2. He was the best goalkeeper.

3. He stole from wealthy rulers and ecclesiastics to deliver part of the loot to the needy, needy

and oppressed.

4. His ideal was to steal from the rich to feed the poor.
