Transportation of goods is a necessary step for a business, which are delivering the
products in the best mode of transport to the customer. The balance between the cost of
transportation and the speed of the delivery is essential to get a happy customer.

What needs to consider an industry to choose the mode of transport?

You need to analyses the type of goods, distance and time, let’s see some examples for
the best decision-making:

 Speed of transportation: some goods must be transported as soon as possible due


that they are perishable, or be transported maintaining the cool chain in case of
some food like meet.
 Security rules of transportation: just in case that the items have special rules of
transportation such as hazardous products, they must to fulfill the security rules in
the places they move.
 Insurance for expensive products is a good idea, especially if they might be impacted
for some risk during the transportation, consider having a tracking device to see the
position.
 The protection through the adequate package and label for fragile goods, assurance
the adequate treatment and care during the transportation.
