Rihanna´s speech at Harvard

The speech of this important figure of music begins by thanking the Foundation for
such an honorable event to which she was invited, she comments with laughter
that she had never thought of arriving at Harvard and that she never thought she
would ever say that and feels very good for that. She talks about how she thought
about being able to help children in need, especially in lands like Africa with small
donations and that once she reached adolescence, her cause continued in mind
thinking that sometime when she was rich she wanted to help that population.

This is how at age 17 she began her musical career in the United States of
America and then the following year she began to join foundations, having the
opportunity to meet unforgettable people like Nina Amina who died in 2010 from
Leukemia and then her grandmother died of cancer inspired many to continue
participating in foundations of this type. Something that caught my attention was
when Rihanna expressed: "We are all human and we all have a chance." An
opportunity for life, an opportunity education, and an opportunity for certain future.
The important thing is to recognize in her message that we can help just by
supporting one person without expecting anything in return.

It was a unique moment when the artist ended her participation by telling a phrase
from her grandmother in whom she expressed that “if you have a dollar then you
have a lot to share”. Many times we see people like Rihanna behind a microphone
and making really spectacular dance’s steps, however, we are unaware of their
philanthropy actions showing they have a big heart and giving life lessons not only
for the fact of donating money but despite having comforts and a life that we think
can be easy for them but they are committed to a cause without selfishness and to
the noble work of helping those most in need. That is why she is an inspiring
woman and I hope there are many more people like her around the world.
