Rounds are worked with continuous rounds technique. Do not join rounds with slip stitch or turn unless it
is stated otherwise. Use a stitch marker or a piece of yarn to mark the ending of the round. It’s highly
recommended you to read through the pattern completely before beginning to crochet.
When working in rows, work through the entire stitch, not back loop or front loop only unless
specified otherwise.
After a chain, always start working into the second loop from hook if it is not indicated otherwise. X
shape and V shape single crochet stitch: You might notice that my single crochet stitches are slightly different
from yours. I used yarn under single crochet (X-shaped single crochet) stitch technique
I used yarn under single crochet (X-shaped stitch) for the body, arms, legs, head, and when crochet in spiral
rounds. I used yarn over single crochet (V-shaped stitch) when working in rows, and hair strands.
Hair strands: all my doll’s hair strands are made from a foundation chain. When you look from the front you
will see each chain has a V shape with a left loop and a right loop, look behind, you will see a back ridge.
Working in the back ridge gives a neater finish to projects. If I want the hair strands straighter, I will crochet
into the back ridge only. In usual, all hair strands of my dolls are crocheted into the left loops.
You can use different colors if you wish. The yarn that ı used is 2 FINE (sport weight, baby weight, 8-ply). If you choose
2 FINE and 2.00 mm crochet hook like me , you will have a toy of about 23 cm (9 inch).

Invisible join
After the last stitch is worked (don’t slip stitch in next stitch), cut the yarn leaving a tail and pull the tail through the last stitch.
Using the tail and a yarn needle, skip the next stitch and insert the needle under both loops of following stitch. Then insert the
needle into the back loop of the last stitch made (the same stitch where the tail came through) and also through the horizontal
loop of the stitch (for stability).
Gently tug the yarn so that it looks like a stitch and matches the others. Secure it and weave in the tail.
Fasten off
After the last stitch is worked, work a slip stitch in the next stitch. Cut the yarn, leaving a tail. With the tail, yarn over and pull the
tail through the stitch.
Crochet loosely, work [1 sc, 1 hdc, 2 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc] in magic ring . Tug the tail and shape a semicircle to form an ear.
Leave a long tail to sew later.
Right Leg
Work in spiral rounds. First, make an oval by crocheting around a foundation chain. Begin with black color.
Rnd 1: Chain 6, turn, start to crochet on the second chain from the hook: 4 sc, 1 inc4, continue to crochet on the next
stitches on the opposite side of the chain: 3 sc, 1 inc = 13
Put your stitch marker here and move it each round
* inc4: increase with 4 single crochet stitches in same stitch
Rnd 2: 1 inc, 3 sc, 4 inc, 3 sc, 2 inc =20
Rnd 3: 20 sc in Blo =20
Rnd 4: 4 sc, [1 dec, 2 sc]*3 times , 4 sc = 17
Rnd 5: [2 sc ,1 dec]*3 times , 5 sc = 14
Rnd 6: 5 sc, 1 dec, 7 sc = 13
Start stuffing the foot and stuff as you go

Rnd 10: 13 sc in Blo = 13
Rnd 11-19: 13 sc = 13 (9 rounds)
Rnd 20: 12 sc, 1 inc = 14
The increase stitch of the round 20 should be on the middle of the backside, if not, please
crochet a few more stitches.
Rnd 21-30: 14 sc = 14 (10 rounds)
Sl st and fasten off. Stuff the leg and put a stitch marker in the middle-inside stitch of the right
leg.
Left Leg
Do the same as the right leg until Round 30. The last stitch of round 30 should be in the
middle of the backside, if not, please crochet a few more stitches to make the last stitch is in
the middle of the backside. This is the new beginning point of the body. Count new rounds
from here.
Hold the legs upside down; Insert your hook in the last flo of Round 3, join the black yarn (yarn over and pull
a loop through flo-stitch and work ch 1).
sc in each of the stitches around
Cut the yarn leaving a tail and work invisible join. Weave in the tail.
Hold the leg upside down; insert your hook in the last flo of Round 10, join the black yarn.
sc in each of the stitches around
Cut the yarn leaving a tail and work invisible join. Weave in the tail.
Do not forget shoe laces; using a thin thread, embroider crosses over boots. If your yarn is not thin, then it
looks ugly
Body
Change to white yarn.
Rnd 31: Join two legs into one piece: 11 sc on left leg, ch 2, 1 sc on the marked stitch on the right leg, 13 sc around

Cut the yarn leaving a long tail to close the opening. Using a tapestry needle, pass the tail through all the front loops
of the last round and pull. Hide the tail inside the head.
Embroider the eyelashes, eyebrows (3 stitches wide and end one row down from the starting row, height: 2
sts, between eye and eyebrow is 3 sts ) and the mouth (2 stitches wide, ending one row higher than the start)
using thin black yarn.
Nose: Shape the nose between the eyes between the Rounds 65-66 (3 stitches wide).
Rosy Cheek: Embroider freckles on the cheeks. You can apply a bit of blush on cheeks using pink blush makeup
powder or acrylic paint
Ear: Sew the ears between the rounds 65-69, 7 sts apart from the eyes.
Hair
Hair Assembly
1. Place the hair on the head. First, pin the circle piece on the center of the head and pin 12 hair strands to the back
of the head and leave 8 hair strands on the face. Firstly, sew the circle piece on the top of the head, do not pull
tight otherwise it will look bad.
2. Create a bang through back of the head with 6 hair strands on the face. Create a bang through the ears with 2 hair
strands.
3. Take the needle out of the place where you pinned the hair. Just sew the hair strand on the head where you
pinned. Do Not pull tight otherwise it will look ugly.
