1. Introduction: (approx. 80 words)


a. Describe the issue (issue = problem)
2. Causes and Consequences (approx. 180 words) - (6 marks)
a. Explain (Analyse): 3 causes and consequences relevant to
your issue.
3. Global perspective (approx. 100 words) - (4 marks)
a. Explain (Analyse): how is the problem affecting the
Earth/humanity? Use a global reference. Explain how it is a
global perspective.
4. National perspective (approx. 100 words) - (4 marks)
a. Explain (Analyse): how is this problem affecting one specific
country? You need two examples.
5. Different Perspectives (approx. 50 words) - (2 marks)
a. Compare/contrast (Evaluate) National Perspective with
Global Perspective: how is the problem similar or different
around the world vs. in one specific country?
6. Source evaluation (approx. 130 words) - (4 marks)
a. Identify 3 sources with in-text citations
b. Evaluate those 3 sources, explaining: are your sources
unbiased? Why or why not? Can you trust them? Why? Etc.
7. Problem-Solving (National or Local Course of Action) - must use
the same country from National Perspective) (approx. 130 words) - (4
marks)
a. Restate the problem from your National Perspective.
b. Explain: how can the problem be solved & by whom?
(Realistic, and likely to solve the issue for top marks).
8. Conclusion (approx. 130 words) - (4 marks)
a. Answer to your research question
b. How has your own perspective changed by doing this
research? (cite a specific source that taught you something!)
9. Bibliography - use citethisforme.com (Use MLA Standard) OR
EasyBib add-on for Google Docs (4 marks)
a. 1.5-spaced
b. Hanging Indent
c. Alphabetical Order (A → Z)
d. You can use ANY type of referencing you want, as long as you
are consistent with it.
