opportunity to do this PPT which also help me in doing a lot of research and I came to know
about so many new things like art integration in mathematics.
I am really thankful to them secondly I would also like to thank my parents and friends who
helped me a lot in finishing this PPT within the limited time just because of them I was able to
complete.

Haryana
Haryana is a state in northern India that is landlocked. It is located
between 27°39' and 30°35' N latitude and 74°28' and 77°36' E longitude.
The state's total geographical area is 4.42 million ha, accounting for 1.4%
of the country's total geographical area. Haryana's elevation ranges from
700 to 3600 feet (200 to 1200 metres) above sea level. Haryana has only
4% of its land covered by forests (compared to the national average of
21.85%). The main cash crops are Cotton, Sunflower & Sugar cane.
Major Crops
Sugarcane

Sugarcane cultivation necessitates a tropical or subtropical climate with an

annual moisture level of at least 60 cm (24 in). It is one of the most efficient
photosynthetic plants. Molasses: used as a sweetener and a syrup accompanying
other foods, such as cheese or cookies. Falernum: a sweet, and slightly alcoholic
drink made from sugarcane juice. Rum is a liquor made from sugarcane products,
typically molasses, but sometimes also cane juice. It is most commonly produced
in the Caribbean and environs.
Major Crops
➢ Potato
Potatoes are prepared in many ways: skin-on or peeled, whole or cut up, with
seasonings or without. The only requirement involves cooking to swell the starch
granules. Storage facilities need to be carefully designed to keep the potatoes alive
and slow the natural process of sprouting which involves the breakdown of starch. It
is crucial that the storage area be dark, ventilated well, and, for long-term storage,
maintained at temperatures near 4 °C (39 °F). For short-term storage, temperatures of
about 7 to 10 °C (45 to 50 °F) are preferred. Potatoes are used to brew alcoholic
beverages such as vodka, poitín, or akvavit.
Major Crops
➢ Sunflower
Sunflowers are usually tall annual or perennial plants that in some species can
grow to a height of 300 centimetres (120 inches) or more. Each "flower" is actually a
disc made up of tiny flowers, to form a larger false flower to better attract pollinators.
The plants bear one or more wide, terminal capitula (flower heads made up of many
tiny flowers), with bright yellow ray florets (mini flowers inside a flower head) at the
outside and yellow or maroon (also known as a brown/red) disc florets inside. Several
ornamental cultivars of H. annuus have red-colored ray florets; all of them stem from
a single original mutant.[10] While the majority of sunflowers are yellow, there are
branching varieties in other colours including, orange, red and purple.
Major Crops
➢ Cotton
Cotton is a soft, fluffy staple fibre that grows in a boll, or protective case, around
the seeds of cotton plants in the Malvaceae family, genus Gossypium. The fibre is
almost entirely cellulose, with only trace amounts of waxes, fats, pectins, and water.
Cotton bolls will aid in seed dispersal in natural conditions. Cotton is used to make a
number of textile products. These include terry cloth for highly absorbent bath towels
and robes; denim for blue jeans; cambric, popularly used in the manufacture of blue
work shirts (from which we get the term "blue-collar"); and corduroy, seersucker, and
cotton twill. Socks, underwear, and most T-shirts are made from cotton. Bed sheets
often are made from cotton. It is a preferred material for sheets as it is
hypoallergenic, easy to maintain and non-irritant to the skin.
Major Crops
➢ Wheat
Raw wheat can be ground into flour or, in the case of hard durum wheat,
semolina; germinated and dried to make malt; dried, crushed, When raw wheat
is broken down at the mill, the outer husk or bran can be used in a variety of ways.
In 100 grams, wheat provides 1,368 kilojoules (327 kilocalories) of food energy
and is a rich source (20% or more of the Daily Value, DV) of multiple essential
nutrients, such as protein, dietary fiber, manganese, phosphorus and niacin (table).
Several B vitamins and other dietary minerals are in significant content. Wheat is 13%
water, 71% carbohydrates, and 1.5% fat. Its 13% protein content is mostly gluten (75–
80% of the protein in wheat)
