Functional Requirement of self-driving car.

Self-driving is focused on Automated Driving Systems (ADS).

 The hardware and software that collectively enable a vehicle to operate on a sustained
basis. System capability to drive a vehicle without human support. ADS should be
evaluated based on the capabilities available to the operator.

 The Operational Design Domain (ODD) refers to the conditions under which an ADS is
designed to operate but may have more than one discrete set of conditions.

 An automated driving system feature means an application of ADS hardware and

software specifically designed for use within an ODD. "Feature" is a term used a lot in
the marketing of ADS technology. Like highway pilot, traffic jam pilot, summon feature,
valet parking. These features have different intended uses and restrictions on their use

 Controlling the speed and behavior of the vehicle, monitoring the driving environment
and evaluating the situation of the vehicle in relation to other road users, determining the
appropriate response to static and dynamic conditions.

 Intends to describe "system security" as a basis for obtaining "safe performance" and
specifications. Ensuring the security of the system and its overall purpose. Safe
performance will determine ADS driving behavior, interaction with the ADS operator,
interaction with other road users, post-crash behavior, DDT effectiveness, and other
aspects. Safe performance will follow ADS driving behavior, ADS operator, ADS

 Business Requirement

Autonomous vehicles are emerging as a promising technology to improve urban mobility while
saving energy and space. This paper aims to describe and categorize the main business
models that exist and then, apply them to the domain of autonomous vehicles. Nine business
models are scored against these factors. A sustainable and profitable business model must be
invented. This segment of the business model is built on the production and sale of pure
products. Economic profit depends on the number of units sold and the economic value of the
product is its exchange value. Business development in a competitive environment requires
innovative and continuous efforts of adaptation.

There are three known categories of business models:

Service based business model: In particular, it concerns the sale of authentic services.
Product based business model: In particular, it concerns the sale of authentic products.
Business models based on functions: Also known as “Product-service systems PSS”. Value
is mainly the use of goods or services.

Business models for autonomous vehicles:

 Installing sales and charging points if autonomous vehicles are electric.

 The manufacture and sale of autonomous vehicles to individuals or operators who

provide and operate a service based on autonomous vehicles.

 Manufacture and sale of sensors, appliance(s) including batteries and automotive

components.

 Development and sale of autonomous vehicle behavior simulation models.

 Development and sale of vehicle dispatch models to public authorities or operators

providing services based on autonomous vehicles.

 Training of passenger-goods transport and planners and service providers.

 Promotion and deployment of services based on autonomous vehicles through

experimental platforms and through virtual interactive platforms.
