When Omer bin Abdul Aziz selected caliph, he decided to put all his money and land in the
Public Treasury of Muslims. His wife Fatimah bint Abdul Malik also put her precious
jewels in Bait al Mal.
Why?
When Omer selected caliph ,he felt great responsibility that he had taken upon himself ,so

for the fear of Allah he decided to put all his money and land in the Bait ul Mal.

Fatimah bint Abdul malik also put her precious jewels in Bait ul Mal just to please Allah

and to satisfy her husband. She wanted to spread justice in society.
