    I. Objective

     Learn the basic hand signals used in Aviation Industry


     Learn the importance of hand signals when it comes to marshalling,
    servicing, and communication from ground to deck.
     Learn the appropriate hand signals for every specific situation.
     Learn the correct position or distance when marshalling an aircraft.
    Distance may vary for every aircraft.

    This module has taught me all about the importance of hand signals in the
    aviation industry. Using hand signals is very important because it is used in a way of
    communicating from the ground to the cockpit decks of big aircrafts where the vision of
    the pilot is very limited. This is essential in the aviation field especially in very busy
    airports where maximum control and order is needed, or else accidents may occur.
    People who perform marshalling is not just anyone, people who perform this should be
    well trained, qualified and equipped of the proper knowledge and equipment to be used
    when marshalling. A person performing marshalling should also be knowledgeable
    about the proper distance to be used for every aircraft for each differs by having
    different visual limitations. This is important in order to keep the person marshalling be
    in a safe distance in order to avoid accidents. This hand signals must only be used
    when verbal communication is unavailable. Always stay clear of both marshaller and
    aircraft when aircraft is being guided.
