1.Dolo

Answer: The Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) has recommended the filing of rape charges against four
senior high school students involved in a viral video of molesting an unconscious woman inside a car. It
is known that the girl the students were making fun of was also raped by them.

2. Culpa

Answer: Accidentally death of people inside an elevator because of building owner failed to have
repaired.

3. Mala Inse

Answer: Husband coming home from work to find his wife in bed with another man. The husband then
goes and gets his gun from his safe and shoots the man, and has now committed murder. This scenario
involved serious violence and was intentional.

4. Mala Prohibita

Answer: Cauayan City, Isabela- One of the six (6) suspects arrested for illegal gambling in Naguilian
Town, Isabela was immediately granted bail. The suspect was identified as Rosalina Valdez, 32-years-old
and a resident of Brgy. San Manuel in said town. According to PMAJ. Gary Macadangdang, Chief of PNP
Naguilian, Valdez was granted bail in the amount of P30,000 because he sold their pet buffalo. The chief
added that the others involved in the illegal gambling escaped while the 2 suspects were caught after
falling and not being able to get up immediately. Among those caught was a minor who is now in the
custody of MSDWO-Naguilian. It was learned that Valdez received aid under the government's Social
Amelioration Program. The other suspects are facing violation of PD 1602 or Illegal Gambling and RA
1332 or Bayanihan to Heal as One Act

5. Ex Post Facto
Answer: A law that makes chewing gum illegal and requires the arrest of every person who has ever
chewed gum, even before the law existed, would be an example of an ex post facto law.

6. Bill of Attainder

Answer: Brianne is a member of the Communist party. Brianne applies for a job as a teacher at her local
elementary school and is refused, based on this statute: “Members of any subversive group, including
the Communist party, cannot hold public office nor teach for a public institution.” Brianne could attack
this statute as a bill of attainder.

7. Act or Omission

8. General Characteristics

Answer: Mercedes, a 25-year old Bicolana lass, had long wanted to have a foreigner as her future
husband. Her ambition drove her to the internet dating site “Date My Age.” After surfing for several
hours, she met Andy, a flamboyant 58-year old widower from the Netherland who had developed an

Andy had returned to the country and contracted another marriage with a woman from Naga City. This
angered Mercedes. She filed a criminal complaint for violation of RA 9262 (Violence against women and
their children) before the Prosecutor’s Office of Iriga citing economic abuse for his failure to provide
financial and material support to their child. Andy countered that his obligation to support the child was
no longer warranted since, under his national law (of Netherlands), his obligation ceased when the
divorce decree was issued.

9. Territorial Characteristics

Answer: Territorial disputes in the South China Sea involve conflicting island and maritime claims in the
region by several sovereign states, namely Brunei, the People's Republic of China (PRC), Taiwan
(Republic of China/ROC), Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Vietnam. The conflict over the South

Answer: Although the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals recognized Wicca as a religion, it ruled that a
