INDIVIDUAL ASSIGNMENT 2 - ARTICLE REVIEW INFOGRAPHIC (20%)

OVERVIEW

You are required to identify an article regarding operations management issues. The article must
be from a journal or high quality conference proceedings. Your review should not read as if you are
the author of the article or material. You are the reviewer of the article, and it should read as a
review. The reader should clearly understand the difference between the author's contribution and
your interpretation and evaluation of that contribution. Under no circumstance should you copy
material from an article and represent it as your own work. Carefully proofread your content.

GUIDELINES FOR CONTENTS

Below is a suggested guideline for preparing your report:

1. COVER PAGE
 Magazine Cover Page
Names, Student ID, Programme, Group and Title of the Article.

2. INTRODUCTION

 Write an introduction paragraph informing the readers your intention to review an article

by stating the title of the article, author, title of the journal and year of publication. You need
to state why you selected that particular article to be reviewed (highlight the operations
management area presented in the article). The purpose of this part is to provide an
overview of the main points of the article.

3. FINDINGS AND DISCUSSION

 Identify the main issues stated in the article.

 Written report should reflect student’s own thoughts and concentrates on ideas about the
subject matter.
 This comprises the importance and the consequence of the issue to the human
capital/organization/society.
 Provide your own opinions and use evidence to support your claims.
 The information must be supported from any other references (articles, journals, internet).

4. CONCLUSION

REFERENCES

 Minimum three (3) references.

 Make sure all the references are cited correctly (using APA style).

APPENDICES Attach your article with the report an submit to your lecturer.

REMARK

1. Written report of 500-800 words.

2. Journal selected for review (2010 and above) and all references (2005 and above).

From the research, student is required to prepare a graphic visual representations

(INFOGRAPHIC)/or POWERPOINT PRESENTATIONS of information. The examples are as
below:

Student is free to choose which ever platform to present their infographic. However, MAXIMUM
is 5 pages of infographic has to be produced by student. Therefore, the infographic has to be
precise, short and nice to represent the information, knowledge or data acquired.

Students are required to produce an ORIGINAL work. Therefore, any form of Plagiarism will be
not be tolerated and hence penalized. ( Akta Universiti Teknologi MARA 1976 (Akta 173)
