Critical Question: Continue to interview some teachers. Ask the teachers the following
questions. Write the responses in a separate sheet of papers.

1. What are the types of assessment tools used in your class?

The types of assessment tools that I usually use in my class are the traditional and
authentic assessment. Wherein on traditional assessment, I am using quizzes and exams
as assessment. While in authentic assessment, I usually use portfolios as well as
individual and group performance tasks.

2. How do you use the result of the students' assessment?

As a teacher, I do use the results or the scores of their assessment as proofs that they
have something that learned from my subject/class. Moreover, it will serves as their one
of the factors on creating their grades. And it measure the mastery of my subject and it
measures the achievement of every learning outcome.

3. How can you use the result of the assessment to motivate students?

Well, the use of the result of my assessment in motivating my students is by enhancing

my students' performance by sharing their clearly defined learning goals through
student involvement in the assessment process, students learn to take responsibility for
their own learning.

4. How do you ensure the reliability and validity of the assessment tools used in your
classes?

I surely insuring the reliability and validity of my assessment tools that I usually use
in my class by getting all of my questions on the reference books that I have and all of
my activities are connected on my discussion in class.

1. How do teachers establish learning environments that are responsive to community

contexts?

As a teacher, I establish learning environments that are responsive to our community

contexts by understanding the cultural lifestyles of my students, such as which ethnic
groups give priority to communal living and problem solving. And by knowing
differences in the modes of interaction between children and adults in different aspects
and factors.

2. How are the parents and the wider school community involved in the education
process?

Well, the parents and the wider school community involved in education process by
giving advice, instructions and encourage to a students. For them to continue their
study and achieving all of their wants and dreams.

3. How do teachers observe professional ethics in dealing with parents?

As a teacher, we must demonstrate integrity, impartiality and ethical behavior in the

classroom and in their conduct with parents and coworkers. And we must also be a
model of strong character and traits, such as perseverance, honesty, respect, lawfulness,
patience, fairness, responsibility, and unity.

4. What are the school policies and procedures that promote a healthy relationship
between school and the community?

In my school where I teach, we do have Brigada Eskwela every time before the Balik
Eskwela. By this school policies or procedures, we as teachers can have a healthy
relationship between our school, to parents, to students, and to our community.

5. How does the Brigada Eskwela help in promoting good school and community
partnership?

Brigada Eskwela promotes the bond and healthy relationship between school and
community. It serves as their bonding and mission and it somehow show connections
and so on.

6. What are other activities in the school where parents and community members can
support?

The other activities that surely can attend by the parents or the community are Family
Day, Fire and Earthquake Drill, Seminars about drugs, clean-up drive, tree planting and
so on.
