Join Dr. Ron Hammerle , of UUC Tampa, as he presents interesting ideas and practices that make large congregations successful. Selva Joseph will be your Worship Committee Coordinator.

Ron Hammerle and his wife have been members or friends of 10 Unitarian congregations from coast to coast over the past four decades. For the past decade, he has studied, written and spoken about mega churches and their implications for liberal religious organizations. Ron earned his doctorate from the University of Chicago for interdisciplinary studies in medical ethics, was a traveling scholar at the Kinsey Institute for Sex Research and did postdoctoral studies in leadership at the Peter Drucker Graduate School of Management. He is chairman and CEO of Health Resources, Ltd., a healthcare innovations company he founded in Kansas City in 1976.

Free Documentary Screening

The lm proles three south Florida families, including the story of a long-time lesbian couple (Summary attached). WLRN will be premiering the documentary August 25, and HealthState.org will be hosting outreach events in Miami and Broward that will feature a pre-broadcast screening of the lm and lmmaker/subject panel. All are welcome to attend. FLOWERS Have you ever wanted to donate owers for our sunday services but just couldnt nd the time to arrange it? Step one: Please call Iris Massey who is taking donations toward Sunday owers and she will arrange everything. Step two: Make sure to sign up on the bulletin board! (305) 661-8482 CHOIR NEWS There will be no choir rehearsal over the summer. Rehearsals will resume on August 25th.

R.E. REGISTRATION Registration for the 2011-2012 school year will begin on Sunday, August 14. There will be a table set up in the breezeway for 3 consecutive weeks where you can register your child before or after the service. There is a packet of paperwork to ll out and the fee is $25 per child. The rst ve to register receive a UUCM lunchbag! Please see Monica if you have any questions.

Saturday, August 13th the YA group will head out for an evening of art and culture, ALL are invited. We can meet at church to carpool at 7pm (I said 7:30pm, but that's when it starts).
