After finishing the module, students need to solve the following problems:

1. Understand and explain the concepts of Currency, Finance, interest rates: the operation of
financial markets, financial institutions and banking activities, and monetary policy;
thereby seeing the importance of studying these contents.
2. Analyze the nature of currency and distinguish currency from finance; analyze the role of
currency through three basic functions.
3. Explain the ways to measure the amount of money supplied and relate it to the
measurement of the amount of money supplied that is being used in practice.
4. Analyze the structure of the Financial System and the components of the Financial
System, thereby seeing the role of the Financial System in the economy.
5. Describe the process of transferring capital through the financial market, thereby
analyzing the basic function and role of the financial market.
6. Presentation and analysis of the structure of financial markets; comparison of
characteristics of different types of financial markets and characteristic analysis of
instruments in financial markets.
7. Present the nature and measurement of some common types of interest rates.
8. Explain the meaning and calculate the present value of an income, a future income
stream.
9. Distinguish and analyze the differences of some common interest rates in the economy.
10. Analyze the loan supply and demand model affecting the change in interest rates.
11. Analyze the activities of commercial banks.
12. Distinguish the differences between the organizational models of the Central Bank,
specifically analyze the central bank model of some countries in the world and Vietnam.
13. Analysis of the operations of the Central Bank.
14. Analyze the objectives of monetary policy and the connection between them; at the same
time, analyze the tools of monetary policy and the use of such tools in the implementation
of monetary policy.
15. Understand the basics of inflation.
